We got 8 inches of snow but the wind did a good job blowing it around. I went around and opened up most of my yards but will finish cleaning them up completely after the storm.

I use to plow snow for a living in Michigan. We use to get snow flurries off of Lake Michigan and then this stoped. One season I only plowed my snow route 3 times , mowed 3 times. If the jobs had not been watered that would not have happened. The weather change started happening around 1972. By 1985 it had really made an about face. I sold my equipment and threw in the towel. Yeah the garage has been busy, my father has been working on his 544A loader and we just rebuilt the transmission in our Komatsu bulldozer, my 445ct case skid steer is going in next.

glad this one didnt turn out to be the 16 inches they had forecast....but man with the ice we got with it it wasnt much fun to push....but its only the third plowable storm we have had so i cant bitch..

Great machine. Awesome plowing video. We made some videos of our Deere plowing during this storm too. Check them out if you get a chance. That big plow is really impressive.

TB, have you ever sat down with pen and paper and figured out how many miles of road you actually plow? And do you get paid by the county, township or by private individuals for the snow plow work you do? Now that the President has killed drilling in the Gulf, I was thinking of starting a snow plowing business here in South Louisiana......LOL!

I really don’t plow much roadway, one of the yards I plow is at the end of this road and if I get there first I plow it otherwise my father plows it with the town truck. The few yards I do charge for are private. I don’t know how well a snow plowing business will do down south but get yourself a tractor and a bat wing mower and pick up some roadside mowing.
