Oh How Sweet It IS!!!! I'm 74 & spent many a Year Cutting Like This & Then Using a good ol' horse rake with a foot tripper pulled by our 2nd JD B.

👍😊 I'm 57 and helped a farmer with a 60 and clipped oats and re clipped wheat stubble only to be put up with a AC Roto baler 😊😊👍.I miss those days but my body won't let me do what I used to do.

I have a ‘51 B and a #5 mower. Dennis Moural mowing hay. Also Dennis Moural plowing with Allis Chalmers.

Just wish the camera would have been focused so we could see the details of the sickle mower.

Gosh we had a “B” and the #8 mower just like it. I think we had a #5 and #9 mowers too. I mowed lots of hay with the #10 and #50 front side mount, usually on the 3010, 3020, or 2510 diesel tractors

Hey what gear do you put the tractor in while mowing?

Usually 3rd gear. The tractor has 42” rear tires. I have a B with 38” rear tires and would use 4th gear sometimes. In very heavy grass hay might use 1 gear lower.
