3 жыл бұрынThis conversion was a little smoother than the last. Only one audio hiccup. The rest is good. Another neat video about JD combines, I must say. I'm looking forward to the next one. Looks like we have the 55 & 95 in one shot. Sounds good to me. Stay tuned!

Grandpa's first combine was an AC40 with bagger attachment, then Dad bought a rough JD #12, I bought an AC100 self propelled but only ran it one season then bought my last one a JD 55 HI LO round back with a 12' header. Never had storage for shelled corn, only used and fed ground ear corn.

How was the 100 compared to the 55? Always wanted a AC 100.

@@ikonseesmrno7300 The 100 had to move slower to trash the same small grain as the 55. The engine was convenient but was in the dust all the time and required blowing out the rad often. I wasn’t as impressed as I was with my Uncle’s AC66 pull behind, his biggest tractor was a JD B and PTO tractor was a JD 40. Stick with the pull behind AC 60, 66 and real nice 72. Geiger Farm has videos of him using a 72 for clover seed harvest, he discusses the difference between the 66 & 72.

@@kswaynes7569 Good info to know. The pull types are a lot easier to find vs a SP100 so I may go that route. Will check out the video on the 72 tomorrow. Can already taste the dust from combining clover seed, but it's not as bad as hulling alfalfa. Thanks for the info.
