He has probably sung this song hundreds or thousands of times over these many years and I absolutely love the Unbelievable Passion he brings when he sings it....every time!! Great Song sung by a Great Singer....and I love those Pipes!!!!

Totally agree! Many artists shy away or begin to loathe the song that made them the star they are, or their biggest track, not John, he knows what an amazing and iconic song this is, and how important the message it contains is, and he embraces it and gives it everything he’s got! A true performer, a true artist, and undeniably one of the greatest ever singers this nation has produced!

@@mkel1979that song, for John, would be “Sadie The Cleaning Lady”. He honoured his fans by continuing to sing it, but I think it embarrasses him.

He didn’t hit those notes LMAO what are you talking about? umm didn’t notice the background singers carrying the high notes? That’s the way the world goes round apart from the first couple years Bon Jovi never hit the high notes in living on a prayer (if he ever did!) he left it up to the audience and the phenomenal singer who just happened to be an amazing lead guitarist too ( Freddie also never sang the high notes it was the drummer

These musicians showed, on this day, the epitome of what it is to be Australian, and our culture, and it breaks my heart for just how divided we've become, and not to mention, Farnham's health battle. I can only pray that Australians re-learn what is seen in this clip. Unity. Love. A strong will to fight against what is innately wrong. And knowing how to put on a damn fine show.

I was there this day, up in the top of the old Olympic stand and it's still the most insane roar I've heard from a crowd at the 'G. I might be misremembering this, but if I'm not ... the AFL hadn't put out in preceding days who was appearing but went out ... 40 minutes before it all happened. I've been to many AFL GFs, but this is the moment that just left me in awe.

The male is Lindsay Field, also with him from the 80s, I don't know who the singer on far right is, usually Venetta Fields was his other female backing singer (also with him from the 80s) - all of them very accomplished performers in their own right.
