Because all religions have spirits. I mean this is so simple to understand. The essence/energy of spirits can knock people down when they are in their presence. It doesn't matter the religion. We happen to be Christians and thank God Jesus is the true God. I don't know why we always think we could worship God without our emotions. The Bible clearly states that we must serve the Lord with all out heart, mind and strength.

We ought to follow its guidance. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. GOD is an orderly GOD who does not leave His children confused GOD has laid it all out for us in the word and anything extra may not be of GOD 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. Fruit of the spirit is also self control . Falling and behaving in a way of uncontrollable manifestations - how is this the Holy Spirit ??

Peter had to come tell them they were not drunk. The reason was because they were actually acting drunk!! All through thr scriptures in Daniel, Ezekiel, etc when people saw the Lord or even angels in some cases they fell down. Your definition of order is, unfortunately, not exactly what the Bible refers to as order. Jesus' meetings in the new testament was always chaotic. To answer your question, how would you explain to a Muslim that Peter the Apostle caused the death of Ananias and Sephira just because they told lies? Not everything is worth explaining!

Hi Zuriel, thanks for your comments; allow me some of my own. First, you miss the point why John included this in his gospel, which was to show Jesus voluntarily went to His death. At the time of writing gnosticism was rampant, which spiritualized everything, including the denying Jesus literally died. The context of the time of arrest and John being led to include this event, prove the point. Also, the Greek language proves the point, simply saying, 'When He had said to them, I AM', they were moved - not that they moved themselves out of fear, but they were by unseen force moved backwards and fell to the ground. Thirdly, you speak as one who has a) never experienced the presence of the Lord to this degree as I and countless others have through the centuries, and b) even if you dismiss this account you must account for very similar descriptions of others in scripture in the presence of the Lord - from Daniel to John in Revelation. Lastly, I feel for you. Woe to him who makes himself a judge of things of God and of others. I suspect your bias is in part for your dislike of Benny Hinn (not my cup of tea either, but I know the Lord too well to speak evil of him for he does know the Lord), and based as you stated, knowing someone have x experience yet no corresponding y change in their walk with God - which you put in parentheses, consistent with your bias. I find it amazing you connect an experience with someone you know to their growth in Christ. Do you think the guards had a positive change in their walk with God after they picked themselves up and went about their business? How about Daniel or John in The Revelation? Is it not rather the truth that experiences real or of the flesh, have little to do with one's walk with God, for it is of the heart and discipline to grow in Christ daily as we crucify the flesh, that is the true mark of one's growth? Your bias born of anger, disappointment, bad experience, scorn or whatever, prevents you from knowing the True. My prayer is the Father forgive you for your lack of love, and arrogance for sitting in judgement against at least 2 mentioned above - Hinn and the one you know whose walk with God you evidently find fault with. And last, I pray you may personally experience the presence of the Lord to the degree many have, to where your strength leaves you, and you can do nothing but fall to your knees or ground, overwhelmed by Him. And just because I make a point in scripture does not mean that I have never experienced the presence of the Lord. I have had the greatest pleasure of a visitation from Him. Maybe not as many times as you but that's neither here nor there. And most of all I did not judge Benny Hinn and I didn't say I disliked him. I said his teaching was apostate which it is. Hi again@@pamelameela - let me be more precise as it may help you in the future. In the video I shared what scripture says, and then you wrote me telling me I was wrong, expressing your opinion. But you did so not using scripture to support your opinion, but rather observations of B. Hinn's teaching which you called apostate, and expressed further doubt by citing what turned out to be your mother's experience - you somehow for some strange reason, thought her experience would have made some difference in her walk. When you supported your accusations/opinions of Hinn, your mom's experience, and chose not to answer my examples of Daniel, the apostle John, even Paul who experienced the same falling over when overcome by the power of the Lord. You are the one who criticized me, trying to correct me - and when I responded you took it as arrogant and in a fit like a young child, said you would immediately unsubscribe, calling me apostate and such. Hope that is a summary you can think through, in the hope you will look at Daniel's losing his strength, John, Paul and people in real life through the ages to this day, and adjust your thinking on John 18: 5-6. If not, it is neither here nor there, and scripture teaches something like this does not rise to the level of breaking fellowship. I would leave you with this - the fact we have counterfeit $20 bills in circulation proves the existence of the real $20 bill. So whatever you think is fake or a show or a 'courtesy fall' with Benny Hinn and his 'apostate teaching' (your words), then that proves there is the true experience, the true falling over, overcome by the power of God. My encouragement to you is to switch your focus from being on the lookout for the counterfeit, and rather than lumping all such experiences as counterfeit, that you start looking for the real - for the Lord is moving throughout the earth, and we are to look at that which is good and pure and lovely. Hi tcamp007 - good question. The soldiers were just soldiers, not believers as far as we know. Beyond that, remember that no one in the OT times, which included everyone in the gospels, was born again (until after the resurrection). That means Daniel when his strength left him and he 'became as a dead man' before Gabriel in 10: 8, 16-17, for instance, nor the guards in John 18: 5-6, nor the soldiers guarding the tomb (if perhaps some of their fainting was supernatural and not just fear) - were born again. Neither was anyone healed by Jesus - which is another discussion about the main reason God heals is to confirm the resurrection of Jesus (Acts 4: 33) or to prove His deity. Any other healing is more a benefit for a believer...like I said, another discussion. That said, John in Revelation 1: 10 states he was 'in the Spirit' meaning more aware of the Spirit realm than the natural, when he saw the Lord in glory. He says in v17 when he saw Him he 'fell at his feet like a dead man' - meaning his strength left him. I've had this happen in the Lord's presence - sometimes I refer to it as 'He had the power turned up', lol - it happens. But the short answer is that it can happen to anyone. I was in a meeting in the 1970's with Charles and Francis Hunter, who had a well known healing ministry during the wild and crazy days of the 'charismatic renewal' when so many in the denominations received the baptism with the Holy Spirit. One meeting we looked out to the sidewalk as a person passed the church, and they fell over, lost their strength - funny to see - walking along normally, then came onto church property where the Hunters were ministering, and fell over suddenly just like the people inside the church were doing - without anyone touching them - and then the person (people) would get up, look around embarrassed, and walk on their way.... When the presence of the Lord is at that place is strong enough, it overwhelms the human body - no matter if the person is born again in their spirit and/or baptized with the Spirit or not. He means that the power is increasing. Yes The Holy Spirit is already in a believer. But He can increase His presence, sometimes it's from the inside, like bubbling up. And sometimes it feels like from the outside in, like He is coming closer. Sometimes it's both. He is in us but also omnipresent

Hi Hope4myfriend, just seeing this, thanks for writing. They say when training Treasury Agents about counterfeiting they focus their attention on the real, down to the tiniest detail. That way, by knowing the real in every way they can, the counterfeit stands out. I teach the real, just as Jesus and Paul and Peter did - not focused on the devil and the lower elements of human nature, but life, and the highest and best. Those are good examples to follow, and frankly, many Christians would rather chase after the fleshly than do what it takes to get to know the Father and Lord very, very well. So they have their own reward. Self-limiting, and the Lord will bless what He can with them, but some never grow past baby-hood. For instance, in I Corinthians 3: 3-15 Paul tells a group of them that they were spiritual babies when they should be eating meat. He says they live like they aren't even born again. Why? Because they are dividing into cliques, and have envy and strife in their hearts. But he said it was their decision - he taught the highest and best and what they could attain. As God says in Isaiah 55, His ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts, therefore forsake our ways and thoughts and come up to His ways and thoughts....that is up to us. So that's why. Hi John, I prefer to follow the pattern of scripture. Scripture has always warnings and exemples of counterfeits and sinfulness at hand. I like your insight on house churches, though. But the supernatural is misleading, I' m afraid.

Hi Gad - On Pentecost they thought the 120 were drunk - many of us have experienced being so overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit that our bodies are such it is hard to walk, hard to stand. In Revelation 1:17 John says his strength left him before the glory of Jesus, and so it goes. John 18: 5-6 the same thing at the I AM statement. You are trying to wrap your mind around this never having experienced the presence of the Lord, or of the Father. Your issue is as you stated, believing the Holy Spirit will always have you in control. Scripture begs to differ with you. In Acts 10: 10 and 22: 17 Peter and Paul experienced trances - they were not in control. When Daniel in 8 and 10 lost all strength when the angel Gabriel came to him, he lost control. When the guards at the tomb at His resurrection became as dead men before Him, they lost control. Need I go on? Maybe adjust your theology to scripture rather than trying to make scripture fit your theology, and comfort level. Clearly you have a fear of 'losing control'. I understand that, I can relate, and I even agree with that. But that does't restrain us from acknowledging the obvious - the guards lost control when Jesus stated, I AM in John 18: 5-6. Paul lost control when he fell to the ground before the Lord and was even blinded by His glory in Acts 9, and on it goes...Hope you can grow in this, for scripture cannot be denied. John

[I think you are very close to that in this video, sorry] And finally persuade people follow themselves, do religion, feel various feelings, build "churches", but not knew and believe Christ! It is so widespread and you do not warn enough in this video. There is counterfeit holly spirit in our churches. Some call it kundalini. some call it spirit of baahl. Purpose of that spirit is same - to deceive and to kill. I see it my country. Those people came 25years ago. Slained in spirit a lot. Does false prophecies. Lead many to deep disappointment. Started churches with false doctrines. Fleshy. and there is lot of shipwrecked believers on them... I knew Remeber one thing - fruit of Holly spirit is self control. I short term an in long term. Yes we can experience feeleings or reactions in our body. But not beyond our control. What we see often is out of control manifestations. What we often do not see are long term aftermath.
