My Celtic cousin Jonny Fogerty and his Hurricanes,, ripping up the place, guitar in hand, stepping forward up to the microphone and letting fly

I saw CCR at Woodstock and it was not to be believed. They were amazing. John was outstanding. The music, the sound the times just blew the place apart. Thank you John.

Any idea why CCR was not in the Woodstock concert film or any of the concert albums from the festival ?
@jacktwist59077 жыл бұрын
From all that I have read it seems that John Fogerty didn't feel that CCR's performance was "up to par." Seriously. He didn't believe they played that well. So he didn't want to be in the movie. Well, I was there, and they rocked that concert out!They were astonishing! I never forgot them. We were all up on our feet jumping, dancing and going nuts!

Despite the fact they went on at 2 in morning.

Honestly, the concept of "time" was nonexistent at Woodstock. Every act, every moment, bled into the next. Exhaustion was the final act. After Sly and the Family Stone I remember lying down, it was still dark and I conked out. I woke up, literally, hearing Gracie Slick say, "Good morning people." A huge ball of sun was rising behind her. And on it went.

I saw him live front row, loved it but I hate when they play the songs at a faster tempo like this, like he hit fast forward on the song

WHY JF never got accolades such as clapton and others did for their picking, is beyond my comprehension
@beckwil08528 жыл бұрын
He did!!! Rolling Stone named him in the top 100 guitar players, I think he's ranked number 42. Come onnnnnnnnnnn - I've listened to this guy for over 40 years.
