I saw this on Austin City Limits and thought it was pretty damned good.

I could listen to John sing all day long. Songwriting, phrasing, musicianship, production.... everything is always a true sound. This is what music is supposed to be.

This guy's got it all - pure passion, a god-given voice, poetry, and soulful music - wrapped into one big heart. Can't stop listening.

WTF have I been? I consider myself an astute fan of American Music. I just discovered John at E-Town last year. How empty has my musical life been without him? A cavern. There is great hope for the genre!!!!! Rock on John.

Have seen him live 4 times in last two years. He is so talented musically, but his lyrics come from a much older soul. He is amazing! Will see him in November and cannot wait!

Found John Fullbright through an interview he did with Red Dirt Nation about my friend Tom Skinner...it was a truly bittersweet moment...since Tom had just passed, but I found John Fullbright through him... Maybe it just Tom's roundabout way of giving me more great music! Thank you Tiny!

Epic !! As someone who lives in the tornado ravaged mecca known as Oklahoma City, I couldn't be prouder that Mr. Fulbright is an Okie. Why so many mediocrities rule on popular radio nowadays, and real talent like this goes relatively unnoticed is one of life's mysteries that I ponder ceaselessly.

I heard John perform Jericho, Satan & St Paul, and other amazing songs at the Kerrville Folk Festival, not sure how many years ago -- 2011? I hadn't heard of him before that and he blew my socks off. Wonder what he's up to today. Can't help worrying about such vulnerable artistic souls. He strikes to the heart with his words.

I didn’t really pay much attention to John when I added “Jericho” to my Apple Music Library (It’s an honor to make it I Into the library 😅), but I recently put together a hi fi system and heard it on the system. A better recording and a better track than I had initially realized! Excellent use of instruments like the organ and the harmonica.

I go searching through this world I wait on something to unfurl Thinking back on toys and paper dolls Now all I ever find are walls Tried to find myself out East Maybe find comfort there at least When I got there all I found Somebody burned it to the ground So let your trumpets blow 'Round the walls of Jericho Let your mighty voices sound Until the walls come tumbling down Searched for days for you out West And I was greeted like a guest Into the desert's open arms Finding not your childlike charms If these thoughts I hold be true I'll lay down my traveling shoes And let the vines grow over me Let the earth swallow my dreams And let my trumpet blow 'Round the walls of Jericho Let my mighty voice be heard Then speak not another word Throw your arrows and your slings And your other precious things Outside your gate I will stand tall As you cower behind your wall Look inside yourself to see Where these walls appear to be Let your soul step out to breathe Swallow whole your dignity And let your trumpet blow 'Round the walls of Jericho Let your mighty voices sound Until the walls come tumbling down. Encouraging folks to get this CD because it is, I think, a better mix. John Fullbright is incredibly talented as a musician, and lyricist... and as a song stylist. You can get an appreciation for that from the album. Each song is very different and diverse compositionally. I think it speaks to the depth of his stylistic range. Ouvres, Baby. Huevos, too.

Joshua 6: 8-11 8 So it was, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the Lord advanced and blew the trumpets, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord followed them. 9 The armed men went before the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets. 10 Now Joshua had commanded the people, saying, “You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, ‘Shout!’ Then you shall shout.” 11 So he had the ark of the Lord circle the city, going around it once. Then they came into the camp and lodged in the camp.
