Explains why he was hesitant to throw the jab, didn't want to straighten the arm/elbow so, stuck to hooks, uppercuts mainly, dog fighting on the inside instead of boxing. Add in his daughter in hospital, covid, rolling his ankle in the 3rd. Still rocked up and did the business. This man is a different breed.

@@AdFunk Agreed. Ali used to come in out of shape, knowing he could probably still out heart people. Used to arrive at camps fat as a pig... And the punishment he took in Manilla... Was no coming back from it. Can see Tyson retiring and coming back and jumping in there with all of them, probably still win, just it will take something from him. Dont want to see this man lose his mind. He is uniquely precious.

@@jakedovey1586 Ali is amazing in that alot of his greatest performances came after his physical prime. I remember watching a Rocky Marciano interview where Rocky basically complimented Ali's physical gifts and slickness, then made the observation that only time can tell if he can take punishment. Ali answered that question big time, yes. yes he could.

American Texan here, who’s a huge fan of Tyson Fury, and hearing John tell the private events leading up to this trilogy fight gave me even more chills then to seeing Tyson finally end the Wilder feud with a epic ko. How Wilder uses these BS excuses, when Fury had way more going on, and never complained once. I’m not English, but i absolutely love the fury’s, and pray Tyson will listen to his dad!! Us true Tyson Fury fans even if a fight was canceled with what he just went through, would never think any less of him, if he had postponed this fight. Because I wasn’t the Tyson to have a great quality of life with his family more, then to me see him fight 1, or 2 more fights to many for his fans. I will always ride or die with Tyson as the GOAT, no matter if he fights again, or not. My dad reminds me of John Fury, born with nothing, became successful, and all that makes him happy is having his ranch off the grid, making his own food, and living the land, he no longer wants flashy life, he just wants to live off the land here in Texas!! God bless the fury’s!! We love y’all, and have the upmost respect for y’all’s family. Prayers to y’all in the future!! What a great insight, thanks for this great interview!!

Not at all He didn’t have any impact on Tysons career. Tyson took himself to the boxing club and John didn’t even know he was boxing until Tysons amateur coach told him about his first amateur bout.
