I lived in Notting Hill in the 50s-60s and although I never saw John Hanlon, I heard about his reputation. One story sticks in my mind, was when a landlord called the police to his pub, because he was causing trouble. A panda car arrived with two policemen, who did not get out of the car, because when they saw it was John Hanlon, they called for backup. John went up the the panda car and opened the fuel cap and pissed in the fuel tank, while the two policemen just sat there, so the story goes.

I remember Dave Courtney mentioning in a video that Freddie Foreman once asked him if he could look after some Italian-American youngsters who were coming to London on a trip, Foreman wanted Courtney to make sure they got into certain clubs ect and had a safe time. Apparently, the Mafia had asked Foreman to sort this as a favour. If that is the case, then Foreman must be known amongst the Mafia in New York as well... i dont know how accurate this is but i found it interesting
@its_rick_james_bich25756 ай бұрын
He was around in the 60s when the US mafia were trying to make headway into gambling in up market London..and lived in the US for a while (I assume in the late 70s before he moved to Spain where he would eventually be extradited in late 80s). So yes, it’s possible he knew some of the US mafia

I had more respect for Fraser than Foreman. For example, he was very loyal to people such as the Krays and would never slag them off. Fraser criticised Foreman for doing a documentary spilling the beans on the Krays and the murders they were involved in. Fraser was saying that Foreman should not have spoken publicly about those crimes, whilst the Krays were still alive and should have waited until they had passed away. Foreman said in an interview with Bernard O’Mahoney that the plan was to do a hit on the Kray twins, if they hadn’t been sent to prison. I find that hard to believe though. From what I’ve heard, he was the one who would clean up the Krays’ dirty work, so if anything, they seemed to have more power over him than vice versa.
@nobullshit88988 ай бұрын
Frazer was ok if the victim was tied up Albert reading smashed him to bits if all Frazer's stories were true he would have had to have been 200 years of age and foreman was an associate of the twins not big mates he was mates with Charlie kray that's who introduced him to them and if they hadn't all been nicked the meeting had already taken place to top the twins there were other people in the meeting that wanted them gone to watch the dvd order to kill
@Mans19108 ай бұрын
@@nobullshit8898 I wasn’t saying whether Fraser’s stories were true or not, just stating the simple facts that Fraser was loyal to the Krays and that he criticised Foreman for talking about the crimes he and the Krays committed on TV, whilst they were still alive . A lot of people such as Roy Shaw, Richardsons, Krays, Ray Hill etc have all said that Fraser was one of the most game people out there and that his loyalty was second to none. Sorry, but just because a documentary says that something was planned doesn’t make it true. It’s funny how all this about a plan to take out the Krays only came to light after they were both long gone…
@Deaton19798 ай бұрын
I don't think Fred cared a fuck about the twins, he certainly wasn't scared of them and he was his own man. What difference would it have made what Fred said about the twins it's not like they were ever getting out, ok Reg did but only because he didn't have long to live. Fred was staunch and I would suggest whatever he said was true, what reason does he have to lie?
@711honved8 ай бұрын
The Kray's had no loyalty to anyone. They did the crimes but tried to get their friends & associates to do the time for them.

I read a lot about Fraser being full of shit . Let me tell you Fraser was a maniac. I was down in London in 60 s my uncle was a good friend of the Krays . I met Ronnie I was with my uncle. My memories of Ronnie that day he was an absolute gentleman. My uncle was anti Richardsons . My uncle liked Ronnie more than Regg . Fraser was mentioned often and he was completely crazy. They had to call it a draw because Tommy's eye was hanging out and he wouldnt give up so they had to call it a draw.
