This song more or less immediately popped into my head when I heard the news of Charlie Watts today, and I see I've certainly got some company in that regard! Great song, it came out when I was about 10 or 11 and just getting into current rock music. And of course RIP Mr. Watts

Here in Rutland, Vermont I’ve seen him twice at the @Paramount theater! He’s significantly worse without his electric backing band! His acoustic version was decades removed from the with band performance!

Down here in Louisiana when we aren't fighting floods, hurricanes, gators and such, we love to dance. Needless to say John Hiatt & Little Feat are big in my neck of the Bayou. Now the Bayou is full of expensive homes, docks, boats & fine lookin' ladies, but I swear we can dance on water when John Hiatt is on.

I LOVE this song. I'd never heard of John Hiatt until he came out with this album back in 1988 (was it?), and this song was played. I immediately knew I had to get the album, and it was one of my favorite at that time in my life. Brings back some good, and some painful, memories. Great song.

I listen to very heavy music, but I have always loved John Hiatt. His lyrics are classic. Excellent song writer. Slow Turning has been a favorite of mine for at least 15 years.

I saw John in Kalamazoo MI. He came out and shook our hands and talked with us afterwards. And he had done the whole acoustic show alone. He was very genteel and gracious. The man's raw soul, energy and charisma is second only to his talent. Fantastic song. My second favorite of his.
