Absolutely. Just simply improving HOW the story is told would fix so many issues. Just getting a box of text and ACCEPT is really not great, how is it still done this way? They at least added the talking head dialogues, but the way you pick up and turn in quests and the NPCs talking is still unchanged and I find it impossible to engage with.

@@NickMK So if they can't use text, cutscenes, or voice-acted dialogue, how do you expect them to tell the story?

@@NickMK back when I played I used to use the Immersion add-on, cuz like you said the box of text was just horrible to read and didn't do it for me. Just having it changed to where it felt like the npc was telling you about the quest made such a difference.

but WoW's been struggling all this time. Who's to blame if the people in charge aren't? Preach might have nothing but good impressions of him, but maybe he was more skilled at giving good impressions than making good games.

If I had to guess, based on Mike's description of John's job, I'd say he got sick of being the "money man" and wanted to go back to hands-on game-making.
