As someone who grew up in Newton... yeah... we're about as far from the street as possible. The scariest thing you can do is cross the street while the soccer moms are driving carpool. That's not even an exaggeration. I moved at eleven never having heard anyone swear in real life.

John kransiski made Newton sound very different than Matt Leblanc made Newton sound on Conan. Matt Kenlanc is from Nonantum which is the one towny neighborhood of Newton in North Newton where they have Boston accent when John Krasinski is from the southern part of Newton where they do not have the accent.
