why is she shrieking in the first place lol
@aleahlrb4 ай бұрын
Isn't her shrieking part of her performance roster? As in a few stuff she released before and after this included her shrieks. With that context, and that John had collaborated in a few of these performances, I think this might've been part of the performance from the start. She also only shrieked in the choruses. If she really wanted to ruin the performance and take up the spotlight, she would've screamed at least once in every verse, so I think it was supposed to be part of the performance. Also, in the rest of the set, she seemed to be having fun and dancing along. If she really wanted to ruin the performance and had been foiled, she probably should've been more stiff. Edit: watched the second part, nevermind. 🤣🤣🤣

Many interesting things about this, but most significantly, how Berry was the undisputed star and Lennon just an inconspicuous backup.

Hardly. Lennon was paying homage to his hero, not trying to upstage him. Yoko is another matter. 😬

I think this shows how much respect Chuck had for John. Chuck was known to have a bit of a mean streak. Ordinarily Chuck would probably of wound the guitar around Yoko's neck for interrupting his song.

Gracias a canciones como "Maybellene" (1955), "Roll Over Beethoven" (1956), "Rock and Roll Music" (1957) y "Johnny B. Goode" (1958), Berry redefinió los elementos del rhythm and blues.[4]
