The CPS prosecute when there is evidence that reaches their threshold for prosecution. When Starmer was head there was next to no evidence. Only when Saville died did the victims and extent become evident. The showbiz stars that went on TOTP such as Lyndon must have known among themselves about the behaviour of Saville , Glitter and others but did not raise hell about it. Of course that’s my bias coming through, just as yours does on Starmer. We must work harder to eliminate our bias and give more thought to issiues. As should Lyndon. When he was a child his parents and other working families couldn’t afford to go abroad for some sun so we went to the seaside towns and played in the cold en masse. Times have changed. Kids want to stay home with their heads in TikTk or Minecraft or go to the Med. etc In the North East - Bamburgh, Seahouses, Blyth, Whitley Bay, South Shields, Roker and many other coastal towns are far nicer than they were fifty years ago but not as popular because times have changed. Immigrants are very few. The world population in 1950 was 2.5 billion with the poorest having no opportunity or means of seeking a better life elsewhere. The population now is nearing 8 billion - it’s no wonder the youth want to live where opportunity abounds and travel is easier and cheaper. It doesn’t mean I accept we should be allowing so high immigration, just that there is no simple solution which racists seem to think could be applied overnight.

We have an ageing non-productive population that will die, and this will lead to a population collapse unless "young blood" is imported. Give it break. Seaside towns are run down because Brits dont holiday there anymore. A £20 plane ticket gives much better weather results. Illegal immigration numbers are nothing compared to last years legal immigration. Those given Visas - by the current government - was over 1 million. That’s compared to just over 100k illegals. Legal visa immigration spiked last year. Previously there used to be typically a net gain of 250-300k per year - that’s been an average since 1950, fairly consistent. With 600k incoming (150 being European) and 300k Brits who leave & emigrate. But those numbers vastly changed last year, and that’s saying something when European immigration decreased, as they get a strong vibe they’re unwelcome. You can’t expect seaside towns to prosper when nobody is spending cash there consistently each year. A false spike from COVID gave us a glut of Air B&B owners thrashing the public for £150 per night and much more for converted garages. The one thing that is logical that JR mentions is the vastly different cultural expectations, behaviour towards etiquette & law, and any baggage.
@richardguest457422 күн бұрын

A lot of people think this talk is racist but when articulated properly it makes sense. With a country of limited size and once a colony owner, serving as home to first second or even third generation colonial or commonwealth/British citizens. Who to all intents and purpose are integrated into the very fabric of British society and culture and who, I would like to think, have been accepted by the natives of this country. The sudden influx of people from outside of that part of history with no allegiance to the flag or even the culture they now find themselves in. Coupled with the fact that their previous backgrounds have been backgrounds of absolute conflict there is bound to be some form of clash. Whether it be cultural or social. What John said about seaside towns for example why have the government decided to house people of this nature on the coast? Once thriving communities that were the destination of British families year after year. In my opinion I don’t so much blame these people as much as the politicians who drew up these plans. I know the European Union releases millions of Euros to be paid to host countries taking immigrants so where is that money?

Just popped down to our local tescos and stood at the ATM was a newly arrived migrant to our village .How do I know he was new because he was with his white female escort . These female escorts work for private companies probably SERCO and its their job to show new migrants around . has anyone else noticed this happening in their village?

The U.K and Ireland have had a common travel area since 26 of Ireland’s 32 counties left the United Kingdom. Irish people moving to the U.K, or indeed U.K people moving to Ireland, are not really immigrants in the conventional sense at all.

Seaside towns should be doing really well economically but cause of all the gov red tape you need permission to fish, this needs to change + are good fish goes mainly to Madrid which is no were near the sea & pay top dollar & most goes to Norway & Norway send us their crap fish, all just to line some peoples pockets why most suffer, nothing new .
