LumiereDarling it's because Mayer in astrology is a Scorpio. I was born on the 19th which is the scorpio/Sagittarius cusp. If you've seen Mayer in his interviews back when he was young he had women and as he called it an 'ego' recovered addict or something. The point I'm trying to say is that Scorpios are super deep, emotional, crazy, people that always have to be expressing themselves and in the case of Mayer he has surpassed that where he no longer needs women or needs to care about how he looks but Scorpios care so much about that it's all emotions with Scorpios. Even in the beginning he mentions that he cries on his birthday well once again emotions are just pouring out of him daily to the max. Most Scorpios usually self indulge alot then isolate themselves for months or even years to only to come back stronger mentally and physically etc. I see Mayer like this because he hasn't really been humbled by his experiences to the point where he no longer needs to cry, or care about himself . I bet in a couple of years he'll be more loving like donating to poor kids, giving away gifts in concerts, doing live streams, just pouring intense love for everyone around him. He's struggling with these type of issues because of how he's managing everything.

A forty year old man who wants to start a relationship that ends in marriage and a family, is stuck with women at least 10 to 15 years younger than him, in order to consider "Future" children. A woman who is 40, is at very high risk of either having troubled pregnancies, or of worse outcomes for them or their babies. This puts you in a weird spot. I'm 36 and happily married. But I can tell you that if I wasn't, I would seriously consider staying single. Most single women my age or older usually have children and bad drama left over from previous relationships. And I cannot imagine for a moment, having to deal with the stupid stuff that is important to younger girls. Add to that the fact that John is famous and rich, and you have further complications in finding a mature person who will take you for who you are, and NOT because of your money or the idea of the "Idol" they have built up in their heads. I can totally understand where he is coming from mentally.

DesignInNature You putting it like that makes me see where he may be coming from. I was looking at it from my point of view. But I like your perspective too. It’s a tough spot to be in. I think he will find someone though. Just a feeling I have. John was conceived when his Dad was 49 or 50 and his Mom is 15 years younger than his Dad. So, maybe it’ll be the same for him? I don’t know, because, as you said, he’s a celebrity and many younger women may not want to be with him for the right reasons. There are a lot of 40+ male celebrities expecting babies or recently were expecting babies these days (John Stamos, Jay Z, Eddie Murphy, etc.). Maybe it’ll work out for him? I’d like to see him married and with a family.
