Such an extraordinarily talented musician. My childhood replays in my mind with the soundtrack of many Hall & Oats songs throughout it.

I am a volunteer at Lemay America's Museum in Tacoma, Washington. I was on duty one day during the summer of 2016 when he was a guest of the museum. I got meet and talk with him briefly. He is a quiet humble man, who was honored that I recognized him. It helps that I was 63 years old at the time. I spent my college years and young adulthood listening to Hall and Oates.

Another great thing about their music was how well sound engineered and arranged their music was ... it was incredible, just perfect, always lots of syncopiation and counterpoints going on ... always fun to listen to because you can hear something new in it every time you put it on.

I saw John Oates at a little venue in Sellersville, PA a few years. He was fabulous: funny, personable, talented. And he also said he took his first date to that very venue when it was a little movie theater. One of my favorite concerts.

I have loved these 2 since i was a little kid. my 4 year grand daughter now listens with me to some of their songs. they cross generational boundary's. i heard an argument 20 years ago between a mother and her 2 sons over who loved them more. i just wish that Oates did more like Hall does. I love live from Daryl's house. Oates has written and performed with a ton of different performers. thanks for this.

But despite the height difference Oates looks like he could beat Hall into oblivion. He just looks much tougher. Of course we’re talking about Hall and Oates. They didn’t build their reputation on looking tough. They just made great songs. Sorry, got carried away!

I wish the music companies would retro-actively pay artists like Hall & Oates who were young when they got started and signed away too many of their rights. John Oates and Daryl Hall deserve so much more credit for their music.

Interviews are timed to the second and even adding a minute to list all their hits (soooo many, lol) could've thrown off the air schedule, ads, etc.
