I love how people are realizing how much love Jordan has for Kobe. I feel like it cements his legacy, not that it needed to be. But when you have Jordan giving someone's HOF speech, you can't argue that player's greatness.

I think what made KB and MJ similar is they both maximized their potential, there wasn't any wasted potential. If their body is capable of doing certain things then they did it, that's something we can all aspire to in whatever field we are working towards to.

You seen Kobe Bryant in Michael Jordan, but the facts are Michael Jordan was a fundamental basketball player and Kobe Bryant did what all basketball players supposed and should do, is studied the game, that's why kids attend basketball camp. Kobe Bryant was a student of the game and we will never know how good Kobe Bryant would have been, if Phil Jackson and Del Harris didn't hold Kobe Bryant back he would have eclipse Michael Jordan scoring records, league MVP'S and championships. Kobe Bryant was made to shared the Ball early in his career which helped Shaquille O'Neal become a better player. Michael Jordan and Lebron James didn't have to share the Ball for the first seven years of their careers.

Kareem is the greatest ALL TIME player.The man was ANOINTED as a future great ENTERING H.S...Was called the "Tower Of Power "( Power Memorial H.S)...He exceeded all expectations....LeBron had the same pressure entering the NBA as a #1 pick outta H.S social media age.Michael Jordan had no such expectations.Wasnt even Mr Basketball in N.C his senior year.Wasnt the best player on his team when he 1st went to UNC ( James Worthy).But he's arguably the BEST NBA player EVER.Not the best of ALL time.Put some respect on Kareem and Lebron's name.With a bullseye on your back at 14 and 16 years old respectively and to play into your 40s and late 30s without a hitch is AMAZING.MJ had it easy.....no expectations even when he came outta college.He wasn't touted to be an all time great.His path was easier.

I love players/former players who answer like this when ask about who the greatest is. I mean I know he ultimately said MJ, but he also said it depends on the decade. Because the advancements the game goes through every decade is great. Players in the 60s will be more skilled than the 50s. 70s>60s and so on. So it's hard to say really. People in the 2000s has Kobe as their "MJ." 2010 it's LeBron. And that will change again in the future.
@adingdingdiiing6740
@adingdingdiiing6740 3 жыл бұрын
@I Am King I'm not comparing these greats. Obviously MJ has that flawless 6-0 in the finals. The point I'm trying to make is as time passes, players will get overshadowed by newer ones. Like how young kids these days won't know about Bill Russell's 11-1 unless they really look it up. We're seeing it saying that Kobe is basically their MJ. Then younger players like Lonzo or Luka saying that it's LeBron for them. It's not disrespecting the previous generation but it's about who you grew up watching. That's why if you ask MJ, it'll be guys like Dr. J or Magic or Larry.
