I can't say anything about Searle, but I was very surprised about Kripke. As I know, he was a fairly intelligent and at the same time a deeply religious man. The number of historical first person accounts (like epistles in the New Testament,) vastly outnumbers original writings of Aristotle. The numbers I am seeing are like 20-50 times New Testament to Aristotle copies. Granted, Aristotle was way before. Let me know if you have a good counter to this argument. 👍
