Came here to pay my respects to John after watching the compelling ESPN short of his life and career with the Giants. He is the Giants' Brian Piccolo. So glad the Tuna drafted him and gave him his big break. RIP John. Gone too soon.

I pole vaulted with John at Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose California, I was 4 days older than him but he was a little taller and bigger and flew a couple feet higher , I think of him and his family now and then , John you left this earth to soon ... RIP Brother and love to the family 💝

A few years before Tuggle, in 1975,Cal had one of their best team in years led by Chuck Muncie,Wesley Walker,and QB Joe Roth..All three All Americans..Joe Roth would die from Melanoma 2 months after quarterbacking Cal through a rough 1976 season,all the time knowing that the disease was terminal..He died at age 21 in Feb 1977
