Best mannered and best Hollywood greats was Boris Karloff. A real gentleman who could play any scene but because of his roles in horror movies got more typecast than many others. John Wayne was just a character actor in real life. Robert Duvall out acts him with barely a word. Wayne is a joke of an actor that didn't play any real life people. He is the epitome of the 'American Nightmare' that Donald Trump still think exists. 😅

I'll take Audie Murphy over John Wayne any day of the week any week of the month any month of the year. John Wayne earned an academy award while Audie Murphy was the real deal being awarded The Congressional Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry, selfless service, honor who was actually too young to serve was 100 times the man, warrior and patriot Wayne never was.
