I just realised that the Continental Receptionist, Charon, (who's name refers to a Mythological Greek boatman of the underworld who transports souls to Hades for a price), is fitting to the criminal underworld safehouse. The gold coin represents the fee to access the Continental (underworld) and Charon oversees who pays their way in.

Just give us a John Wick game already! Open world New York City. Fighting and shooting. You play as Wick, pulling off multiple main and side assassinations. The Continental Hotel acts as a hub where you meet contacts and pick up missions.

Open world john wick, why does it have to be open world, so we can kill the civilians too?
@ididntmeantoshootthatvietn50124 жыл бұрын
@@ricardoricardo833 yeah and you can get a bounty for exposing yourself to the police and pay the bribe or game over
@thegreenjackal4 жыл бұрын
I'd like for there to be a game but open world would be a challenge since the Wick universe has kind of established that killing innocent people is generally avoided and John himself has yet to kill one that we know of. Not to mention keeping the motif would be difficult since people would be causing havoc twenty four seven which would kind of downgrade how terrifying John is if we just have it happening all the time. If they could pull it off,then it'd be badass but i think a level system like hitman or maybe even Splinter cell conviction with a bit of tweaking could end up with a decent John Wick game where the hotel is your safehouse which you spawn into and you can interact with numerous people with more unlocking as you make more money from contracts. Hell we know factions exist you could align yourself with one of them which if you play as a game original or player created character would allow for some interesting concepts.

I really like the idea ofbackground story of this Movie. About its "world". The Gold Currency, the Continental (Neutral Zone for any assassins etc.) Different Factions, the Hitman's, the Cleaners and many more. Its just epic :D

My family is Italian. I remember as a kid in Chicago going with my Father Only a VERY few times into the city, into the basement of this little Italian Restaurant right off Lake Shore Drive. I remember going in as a kid and Dad would sit down with these 4 men and talk Business. I never heard what they were talking about but I do remember all the other HUGE Italian men sitting me down with them. Joking, laughing, they would feed me really well and just overall treat me very nice. I never felt my life was in trouble and I really enjoyed going there the few times I went. I often wonder as a man now if that place is still there and if those men are still there. I miss living in the City. we moved when I was round 14 or 15 because my Father wanted a better life for his Family. Tho we are suffering now I still do what I can as a Man to provide for my Family with my Father being 75 years old and having an Ill mother and a Little Brother!

They might have been gangsters. I grew up around people like they. They are unfailingly great to children. There's a reason child abusers and rapists have to go to PC in prison. Even regular criminals won't tolerate that, that is mental illness, and you can't cure those people, but they need to be punished for what they have done. That often means getting hurt real bad or killed, even bad people have some kind of fucking principles about how they live life. A girl said this to me once, and it resonated with me. "The hardest, meanest killer on the planet will smile when he sees a baby. That innocence. If he doesn't, you know he's crazy, and you should kill him on the spot or sooner or later he WILL kill you." I know one man who does feel that but would never show it. The only man I'm actually afraid of. I know I can take most people, but he's the only one I'm not sure about. And he's not sure if he can take me, that's why we're friends. But his acting, the way he can just be different people, is scary. I think I'm better than him, but he has a lot of training I don't. Or he's just even more of a sociopath than I am. I like buying stranger's kids candy at the store. I always ask their parents if they can have it first, I don't wanna give a diabetic kid some M&Ms or something. Sometimes people act like I'm doing something strange, and I don't understand that. I like kids, they wanted some candy, you didn't have the money, I got that. I never understand how that is a bad thing, but about twice a month I ask somebody if I can buy their kids the candy they want and they just look at me like I'm fucking crazy. When I was a kid that was just like, "Sweet, candy! Awesome!" What the fuck happened to people that you can't just be nice to folks at the god damn store? About once a month I just bust out a roll of hundreds and buy everybody's groceries who is in line, and nobody complains about that except sometimes the cashier when I yell that I'm paying for everybody's shit, because I am loud as fuck. But I can't buy a kid some candy to make them smile? What kind of shit is that?

Sorry to be cynical, but paedophiles being beat up in prison has less to do with the heinous crimes they've committed and more to do with the fact that they tend to be loners. Prison gangs go on a big power trip intimidating and beating up lone inmates to assert their dominance. While I agree that some hardened criminals have soft spots for children, this is probably not the case when they beat up child molesters. Also, those people that do not feel empathy for children are not necessarily crazy. Psychopathy is genetic and those with the disorder literally cannot feel any sort of emotional empathy, even for children. They also have almost inhumanly high pain tolerance because the wiring of their brains that forbids them to feel empathy also causes the diminishing of pain receptors. But contrary to popular belief, most psychopaths are high functioning and live in society as law-abiding citizens. This is not because they believe that breaking the law is wrong, but because they have received an education along with good upbringing, and have the patience and intelligence to realise that crime is simply stupid logically when weighing the potential costs and benefits. They know that the only way to live conveniently in society is obeying the social norms of that time period. Also contrary to popular belief, psychopaths do not feel pleasure in killing but at the same time do not have any problem in doing so if they need to. High functioning psychopaths are usually attracted to careers in surgery or as CEOs. Low functioning psychopaths, on the other hand, have received little to no education and thus have very low impulse control. They don't have the intelligence that the key to success is delay of gratification and simply want quick money or power immediately. Search up Athena Walker and Charlie Dermot on Quora. Both are diagnosed and high functioning psychopaths that answer questions regarding the disorder.

+William Weaver Yeah, it's pretty interesting how that can work. My dad knows people within the corrections system in our state, and it's the same there. The inmates absolutely HATE child molesters and child killers, they even have a term for those types of criminals, "short-eyes." Thus, the "short-eyes" always get put in solitary confinement, in order to cut down on pranks and violence against them.

The amount of care for every detail that went into this movie is what made it perfect
@AhsokaJackson5 жыл бұрын
Agreed! So much work and care went into it from a myriad of angles: lighting design, soundtrack, choreography, how it was filmed, both the emotional acting and physical acting, and the crazy amount of training it took for the latter... (I could probably express this in a more elegant or organized way, but I’m tired, ha.)

Those gold coins donnot seem like a casual currency or sign of wealth at all to me.... What first impression i got from them is basically is a ticket for you to get your job done easily wherever you go as your from underworld, its just gold with stamps that means you belong to underworld and your a assassin or something.. Not a regular citizen XD For People to basically recognize you and ask no questions when you hand over these to them...

tbh... seeing how he minced down so many people on his way to vengeance and wipe out an entire army by himself.... it is just hard to believe how he got fucked by iosef at the begining... he could have easily make a human centipede out of those 3 guys and make it his bitch.. then again.... it was that flaw that gave us the amazing movie so i'm fine with that lol

@williamweaver72517 жыл бұрын
William Drost If a female hits me with a closed fist, I'm going to treat her just like a man. I have principles, and one of the most important to me is not allowing myself to be harmed. I don't have to like it. It just is what it is. I still don't like it. The idea, seeing it, anything. Makes me very uncomfortable.
@williamweaver72517 жыл бұрын
***** Actually I was raised by my pops, who was the enforcer for a 1%er affiliated motorcycle club for over 25 years. I just don't like it. I don't like putting hands on little scared dudes either. That's not cool. You wanna square up and throw hands, that's fine. But I won't just hit somebody who is afraid, and most females are afraid. Like I said, if she wants to stand up with me, I'll drop her with the quickness. That is a no-no. You don't attack people who don't want to fight unless under very specific circumstances. Stealing from you, mostly, in the case of women. Or if you're getting paid to go do something to somebody that you know is absolutely the truth of the situation. Last time I did that they thought I was Mexican. *chuckle* I can talk about it because the statute of limitations has expired. That was many years ago. I'm not like that anymore. These days I'd probably just start shooting people and plant guns on them.
