I don’t think John actually died, but I do love how they left it vague. I think that now that he is out of the business after all this time the only thing that would be worth seeing him come back would be if he took down the high table completely.

I feel like it’s finally time to see the prequels and explore Johns past.

One of the things that makes me think John wick is not dead, is the fact that when he was talking to the Bowery king and Winston about their relative epitaphs, John said, specifically, he just wanted the word “John, beloved husband“ and yet the epitaph we see is “John Wick, beloved husband.” so I think that small change may indicate that wick is still alive.

The High Table is literally the 12 crime organizations and it's thousands of members. It's not just a few people sitting around a table. I think the ending was good. He died honorably, gave his life to protect his friends and return to his wife & dog.

If they find a way to make it so that John Wick survived and faked his death in order to make a John Wick five I hope it makes sense and doesn’t break suspension of disbelief too much

I'd like to see Chapter 5 come back with John relaxing in a remote location before getting back into the underworld. I'd also like to see him somehow become head of the high table. I doubt fans want the series to end.

The only way I can see him not dying deals with winning a championship. Nobody really knew much about the mysterious head in the desert and the only way to find him was to walk till you drop. Well, what happened to that man’s past? He has no past and he only serves a purpose. If the only way to dethrone and replace someone is through combat, the most feared assassin that killed many powerful characters might have had to erase his past to take that position. Only way to do that is by faking his death. Unless that far out idea is what happens, I don’t think he’ll ever return because he made way to many enemies.

Chapter 5 begins with John waking up in bed, looks at the time as the dog jumps and starts linking his face but as it turns out it isn't his dog, it's Mr Nobody's dog. Then the voice says, "Hi John, you owe me 40 million."

I don't know. Sometimes things just run their course. Maybe it's time to let John go, and let Keanu get on to other roles. He's really talented and versatile.:)

I still think his wife didn't die. Her "illness" was never fully disclosed. What if also she wanted out? Remember, it was said he wanted to leave because of her. Viggo could not make that decision. The blind assasin said he "needed him" to make it to the chair. He wanted out too. John also puts himself back towards the sun rise maybe so the blind assassin could get a better contrast of vision to aim. What's also interesting is the Chapter 3 scene when the doctor tells Wick where to shoot him at, Wick was shot in practically the same area. I'm thinking, if John had a death wish to be with Helen he wouldn't have fought to survive. I think she is alive.

I'm kinda bummed out that John wick died, I knew he was going to die at some point but I'm ready to watch the 5th John wick when it comes out!

The next movie should be about the side characters going for the ultimate revenge and towards the end when all else starts to fail , John returns and they end the table. Then maybe some prequels lol

there is absolutely NO way John died from a gunshot wound to the arm, shoulder trap, and side of the torso. None of which are any major organs. He has received way worse damage in the past and got up to live again. The ending was left ambiguous on purpose, even the ending of the chapter 4 itself didn't feel emotional. John isn't dead, but for the sake of the movies, personal plans of the actors, writers and producers and the studio - its been left open ended. So, if the fans really want a 5th, there shall be one.

I think John Wich as the Assassin is dead but John Wick as a loving widow moved on and might be just a support to Caine or Mr Nobody.... Who know? Maybe he could actually end up replacing Charon... Then again anything goes.

I realized that if he stays dead, it means he didn't win the duel. I don't care if he killed the other guy first, if he also dies from duel-sustained wounds 30 seconds later, that means they both won and both lost. So it's a draw. That's how they could bring him back in. The High Table could be like "Nope, Wick died as a result of that duel, so he didn't actually win, which means your life is forfeit and we get our hotel back." That would mean he'd have to show them Wick is really alive, or it'll piss him off so much he'll bring Wick into a new war with the table. If Ballerina takes place between 3 an 4, I bet they could be like Ballerina did a major favor for Wick while he was recovering and Wick gave her a marker. In Ballerina, she goes after her parents killers, which probably puts a target on her back from the High Table. So in Wick 5, you could have the manager and Ballerina show up to Wicks hideout home with that marker saying the time for hiding is over....Duuude I wanna talk to Keanu and present that idea lol. That's all

ONE - there is NO WAY that so many intriguing, charismatic and pivotal characters were introduced with no plans for their future development. also, the fact that the post-credit scene was the actual "cliff hanger" is not to be ignored. there simply has to be a film with caine and the japanese assassin's daughter. TWO - not only that, what of the tracker? the film is right, his presence was more than a mere plot element. who is he? was it just the btounty amount that put him on wick's trail? THREE - also, the scene in the graveyard showed winston sporting a 'rusta-roma' tattoo? in none of the wick movies was winston shown sporting ANY TATOOS. WHY NOW? also, never had he ever referred to john wick as 'my son'. it has always been made known that john wick was orphaned. maybe there's more to his relationship with winston. never has winston's background been revealed. is he john's father (which he knew all along but kept hidden from john?) FOUR - will the murder of the head of the high table simply go unanswered? FIVE - many fans would like to learn more and see more of the current leader of the rusta-roma family, Katiya> there are so many unanswered questions, hooks and and 'mysteries' in chaper four that THERE HAS TO BE A CHAPTER FIVE!! if for no other reason than to answer these questions. may the high table make it so.

John wick 4 got the perfect end and I want to stay it that way. There shouldn't be a 5th edition. The story can't expand anymore . A prequel is a possibility but if it underperform, it could destroy the whole series. Let everything stay a mystery .

just randomly clicking on the first part of this movie and after watching it made me watch all the way to chapter four awsome badass and freaking exciting especially gun scenes and i am sure if there is chapter 5 then it will even be bigger better and more badass

This story full of surprises, of countless different emotions, cannot end so simply! I studied the fact that "John Wick" was not fatally shot! Yes, he lost a lot of blood, which led to him fainting on the steps, but I think that Mr. Nobody, who was present at the duel, together with the dog, saved by "John", they will save him somehow, as only a story is part of the wonderful world of the film, of the imagination where practically anything is possible. Then, "John" has not yet fulfilled his mission, here on earth, he must return, to do "cleaning", let's not forget, he "John" grew up and suffered tortures known only to him and his soul, in this motley world where he had to become the best of the best becoming a human weapon polished to perfection, so that he is not killed in his turn.

John Wick 5 should be a prequel, while John Wick 6 should be the final installment with John Wick as an older man, and he takes down the high table! He is finally free!

I think that if they want to give John a rest for a little they should start from the beginning with a different character and call it a different movie but in the same world. the world of John Wick is extremely wide and has a lot of characters in it that could be no less entertaining. They could bring him back in the future but for now this could be a giant franchise that spends around a lot of different factions and gangs and groups it could be incredible John is just one assassin there are millions out there.

I hope we get some prequels and at least one sequel... all to include Mr. Wick. I've heard talk of "spin-offs" (without John). Personally I'm not big on that, but only my opinion. Others feel differently and I like hearing the differing views. However, all good things must end. I'm quite sure I have the absolute perfect "permanent" ending for John. I've already written it, and I need to call the Lionsgate folks. Maybe they'd be willing to pay off my Discover card. 😉

John Wick is a bad ass, but I just watched a show about a man during WW2 who singly killed 300 Russians and is now engaged with the German soldiers. He manages to kill all of them although they shoot him, hanged him and kill his horse. He jumps in a deep pond and two German soldiers try to find him, he kills both. He is call immortal, Sisu. That my friend is bad ass. When one soldier ask female prisoner if he is immortal, she says no, he just refuses to die.
