I can never hear this epic piece of without seeing Christopher Reeve taking flight over the Earth and breaking out into that smile. Also makes me tear up to realize that he is gone. Christopher will live on in out heart however. Henry Cavill, however, is 'Super- b' as Christopher Reeve's successor but can never replace him. John Williams score literally sings out "Superman" with those classic notes when the S logo appears on screen. Epic stuff!! The premier and greatest superhero of them all.

+LENTO VIOLENTO Agreed 100%. If one could bring a comic book drawing to life it would look like Christopher Reeve.In this case obviously the Superman character. He looked THAT close to the comic book drawings. Almost as if they based the drawings from CR's portrayal. He had the eyes and bone structure. The needed "good guy could do no wrong" looks. Tall enough at I think 6'2. If anything (very minor criticism) he could have bulked up a little...but movie stars never really did any bodybuilding except Steve Reeves (who played Hercules I think in the late 50''s)...who was actually a champion bodybuilder of his time.

Hey Anderson. Did you know that CR DID bulk up for his role as Superman? He was trained for 6 weeks by David Prowse. The guy that played Darth Vader in the first 3 Star Wars movies. The guy in the suit, Not the voice. Prowse was a champion bodybuilder in the 1960's. CR was real skinny before that. Check out the movie "Gray Lady Down" to see how thin he really was. And I agree with your assessment of CR as the definitive Superman 100%.

@ebrahimsaid19894 жыл бұрын
@@VirginiaTombstoneRevival It all depends on the emotional journey it takes you on. For me, the John Williams & Alan Silvestri collections certainly build on a deep rooted love for cinema. Where RoboCop instills more of a point in time view of the experience of seeing Peter Weller undergoing his change. It's his universe. The former builds a universe that you are actually part of, where the latter was cool at a point in time. Same as Buckaroo Banzai, Total Recall and so forth. What is your view on Zimmer?

I encounter Superman cartoons and comic books and commentary.
