John is joined by Dr. David Berlinski - they discuss the disconnect between intellectuals and the rest of society, the revival of statism under the influence of utopian ideologies, and the blind acceptance of Darwinism without subjecting it to proper scientific scrutiny. He unpacks these ideas in his latest book 'Human Nature', drawing upon history, mathematics, logic and literature, to show how human nature can be not only beautiful and noble, but also ignorant and depraved.
Doctor David Berlinski has a Ph.D. in philosophy form Princeton University and later became a postdoctoral fellow in mathematics and molecular biology at Columbia University. He has taught a wide range of subjects including philosophy, mathematics and English at Stanford, Rutgers, the City University of New York and the Universite de Paris. He has also held research fellowships at the International institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Austria and the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques.
David is a polymath, academic, and raconteur who is a vocal opponent against Darwinism, and is a sceptic around the science of climate change. His books include Human Nature, The Devil’s Delusion: Atheism and Its Scientific Pretensions, Infinite Ascent: A Short History of Mathematics, The Secrets of the Vaulted Sky, The Advent of the Algorithm, Newtons Gift, and A Tour of the Calculus.

This says a lot for someone who claims to be agnostic! 🧐 Never backed away from a good argument. Always fighting against incompetent, insane professors with bad ideas. A force to be reckoned with!!! Accomplished author, scientist, speaker, writer is top of iceberg of successes. His clear concise oratory is like an art form of excellence. One of the best thinkers of his era. Truly endearing. His public audience truly misses him (so it would seem). I know have missed him. Check out his interview with Ben Shapiro: amazing. I am a huge huge fan of Berlinski's written works. Something about his writing style really connects with me. It is extremely high quality writing. I have read the devil's delusion twice and listened to the audiobook several times... and I wish they had this new book human nature in audiobook format (if there is an audiobook that I can buy of human nature, I haven't found it yet, it's not on audible) so I bought the Kindle version to read it in the meantime. With the works of David Berlinski though, I always come away amazed at the high quality humor that he somehow finds a way to blend throught the books. I mean when I read his book 1 2 3, I never thought in a million years I would actually be slapping my knees laughing at some of his funny jokes that he wrote in the first few chapters about one tribal Chief noticing that he had three less wives, etc, my point in all this is that I'm a huge, huge fan.

I have done original research in pure mathematics that Berlinski would no more understand than you or Anderson would. He's a fraud who got caught lying about a PhD in the subject that he doesn't have, caught lying about the work of conveniently dead mathematicians he never met, lying about the "anti-evolution" views of mathematicians he never knew, lying about working with the likes of Rene Thom- which can be found nowhere in the works of Rene Thom.... I wanted to be a poet. I followed an internist for a summer when I was fifteen. College was almost a disaster, too many choices. I also spent a year in NYC working in the commercial lighting industry, where I saw people who worked themselves to death. I asked myself, what does a twenty year old know about life to write poetry? So 13 years later I finished my additional schooling and two residencies and practiced specialty (Thoracic and Vascular Surgery) for 25 years. Now, I'm finishing 2 novels, one of short stories. I am yet to publish... I listen to these things in between writing.

In the Dark Age religion ruled because this world was so awful that people looked to the next. Later when things improved people looked to this world as a place where life could be livable. The darkness of the Dark Age still resonated and was responsible for atrocities. Hopefully, we are, and will get better. Also the Precession of the Equinoxes raises human intelligence. See ‘The Great Year’ film which explains this.

Tip of time is thy breath is breathing indeed. Obviously thy lives was DESIRED indeed. Reason why we are breating through our nostrils beloved. Not from thee! But a covenant between a Father God and the son of men. What is existence beloved? My neighbors given from my Father God. Will glorify my Father God made just for thee! Depending of thy glorification. Many do not know the true meaning of GLORIFICATION. BRING ALL THE WISE OF THIS WORLD. COME WITH SINCERE CONVERSATIONS. FOR THE WISE, WHAT IS THE TRUE MEANING OF GLORIFICATION? Nor why to glorify the true meaning of glorification. Is like why you do what you do? Bringing the true meaning of why you do what you do beloved? Beloved do not be deceived. For many even the very elect. Can be deceived. The Tree is known by it's fruits. Can be eaten or spit out! A CHILDS will no mean be denied. Come as you are upon the all dry GROUNDS nor the world. A CHILDS with sincere tears and conversations with repentance. A CHILDS having sincere conversations will be given same measured indeed. Likewise with foolished conversations same measured indeed. Reason why there's Time. Likewise time has an end. Is like why the child appeared? From thy own doings and forgotten the true owner commanded. Many wise of this world will say? The true owner is not and will not come back. Even all these same minds forgotten. Breathing through their nostrils. Did not come from them. Come as a CHILDS. DIZZINESS will be removed. Is like what is the true meaning of utterance? Remember all of you are worth more than anything nor everything that exists! Who else will glorify? My Father God made just for you all. And yet to come beloved. Now where will ye rest thy FEETS beloved? Nor who's thy FEETS beloved? My HOSTS and HEIRS FEETS are resting upon 1st. Love God as a CHILDS 2nd. Love thy neighbors as thyself. These 2 Will REMAIN. If there's a God, such entity must comply with the laws of nature, and therefore belongs to the realm of scientific investigation, or be totally beyond our comprehension, in which case the best thing is to shut up and say nothing about God, for as soon as we mention God as reality we're assuming we comprehend the existence of the incomprehensible. @@cokefudge Academics are wordsmiths, who on the whole never test their theories in the real world with real people. The way the govt handled Covid is a prime example of academics being so focused on the problem, they were not intellectually agile enough to measure the problems their 'solutions' caused. Most academics have a left leaning bent. Social welfare programs in the west have created more problems than they have solved over the last 60 years. But people don't want to know this, or study it. His first choice was to free all his slaves, then pay & house only those who wanted to stay. His farm would have been more profitable.
