Been visiting LA from the UK for 10 years. I like exploring South LA since it's so different to Santa Monica, Hollywood etc. Strangely, the roughest inner city areas of England actually look much worse than Compton, Watts etc.

I got a lil ninebot escooter and max speed is 15 mph. And let me tell you it just stopped raining a couple hours previous. So I decided to go for a lil stroll in the hood and with my luck I got A lil to close to this chain link fence and the edge of my handle bar got caught up in it and I flew right off the escooter right on to this cement walkway and landed on my ribs!!! Let's just say for the last two weeks I pretty much couldn't do shit and that was at 15mph imagine 25 mph! Yeah youngster just don't know until it happens to him and I hope it never does but I guess sum of us got to learn the hard way!! Safe riding bro !!!!

Yeah, e-bikes in london are more fround upon than any other place I know of. One of the reasons I don't want to get one here is because of the negative connotation it brings. And to ride one legally on the road you need to get it registered, get insurance and it has to have a licence plate, unless you ride on private property with pemission.

When I bought my “muscle” bike, I wasn’t looking for top speed. I don’t want to go faster than about 30, and most of the time not even that. I ended up with a Biktrix Juggernaut XD Duo, which is geared such that it tops out about 30-35mph, but it accelerates crazy fast. It can get to 30 in a few seconds. The people ripping at 70mph on modded sur rons amuse me and it is fun to watch, but my take away is “damn that’s crazy.” Lol.

As Someone who has Crashed bikes, motorcycles, minibikes, Cars, Trucks, etc... any Speed over 5mph can severely injure you and potentially kill you. I've crashed at high speeds no injuries, low speeds, torn muscles, bruised body to the bone (no breaks or fractures), etc. Head injuries are the worst imho, even at low speeds. Specially low speeds, because you might not know you're hurt. Just Try to be Careful. Watch out for other drivers, riders, etc...

Too fast is the speed in which you can't handle. 25mph maybe is fast for ebikes but if that guys a motorcycle rider 25mph is a super safe speed, and you have more control and grip/tread on a mountain bike just because your motor vehicle only weighs not even 100 pounds.

so i am from England and yes people who like to commit crimes love to ride escooters, ebikes, mopeds since its easier to escape oves they can hit the sidewalks and alleyways the police cant get down but also the police are now allowed to ram these people off the bikes now due to them putting everyone in danger here in England also knife crimes are so high its crazy AF one thing these people do is attack bikers more cuss its easier to jack a bike then a car again oves lol but its crazy in London atm
