Oh Christ, I remember this. This was 15 years before we eventually moved from London up to Suffolk, just an hour's drive away from Norfolk. We used to come up to Norfolk for holidays a lot before we then decided to move up here. I remember us visiting Wroxham one holiday and were shocked to find the Roys Department store all burnt and gutted. Was so sad as we'd brought clothes, toys and stuff from the old building. Then we later visited again during another holiday and found the whole building demolished so they could build the new store. Feels a bit heart breaking at 2:31 where they show a photo of the store at Christmas time and then cut to it as a fire rabid shell. Was glad when the new Roys store was built and is still standing today. Unfortunately, it's been a year since we last visited Wroxham cuz of coronavirus. Hope to visit again when this whole pandemic's over and lockdown's lifted altogether.

My god I remember this! And it wasn't that long after the huge fire at Norwich Library either if I recall correctly. Both were devastating but this one perhaps more so because it was the commercial hub and biggest employer of the local area wheras at least with the library they were able to relocate fairly quickly and easily. Did they reach their target of reopening the following spring? That seemed an ambitious target!
