Coming from an alabama fan... Much as it sickens me there is nobody like this guy. Much respect.

Oregon fan here (grew up in Portland, none of that '08+ bandwagon nonsense;) )...Johnny football is such a stud, so entertaining to watch him break coverage and make CUTS. When Oregon missed out on him AND we lost D. Thomas, I was absolutely anticipating a rebuilding year. I don't even remember what I was going to say now...Johnny Football is a badass. End of demo.

Guess there is a reason many articles begin with "And the legend of Johnny Manziel continues to grow." when talking about him. Many argue that during high school, he was the greatest QB in history of Texas HS football. His stats for 4A football as a senior were INSANE! Passing: 3559yds 44td 5int Rushing: 1695yds 9.91avg 30td in 12 games.

He's in a league of his own . . . wow!! Extremely talented and Im so glad he chose A&M! The SEC has improved the talent that A&M will recruit in the years to come. Now with Johnny Manziel, I assume many more kids will love to play with such an athelete. I cant wait!! Gig 'em Ags!! BTHO LSU

His 1st game the coaches held him back, he played 3/4 the 2nd game, half the 3rd game, and 3/4 the 4th game. So really all these unbelievable plays were in less than 3 games of playing time. Unbelievable.

Absolutely ridiculously good! He's basically a combo of Flutie and Staubach!

This guy is very talented. I did notice when he runs with the ball he only holds on to it with his left arm. Seeing as he is a freshmen he will learn throughout his college career to transfer the ball away from the defender. Excited to see him grow and face more and more ranked defenses.

Much as I love him, it will be interesting to see how he drafts into the NFL. Remember a similar Heisman QB named Doug Flutie? Drafted 285th in the 11th round!!!

He's only a redshirt freshman and he's doing such huge things. Imagine a couple years down the line, we'll see the term Heisman thrown around definitely.
@CarlJonesVideo11 жыл бұрын
You are correct, I had him logged with a TD Passing and a TD rushing during the UF game and it was only a TD Rushing. I will not change this movie (very time consuming), but will correct on future movies.

Part1 was after four games, but due to the huge number of highlights there may be a Part2 after three games. We'll see how it goes this weekend.

He's making good reads and not throwing into coverage. You don't have to throw into coverage when you can find the open man. If no one's open, then he can run. This is what makes him a Heisman finalist.

I do wish to thank you all for viewing Johnny Football's highlights. I do not own the video content or music, nor, do I gain revenue from your views (I choose not to participate in revenue sharing). I am an hobbyist editor and Texas Aggie Former Student. I enjoy putting these short movies together and have thoroughly enjoyed our first season in the SEC. Attending the game in Tuscaloosa was incredible.

Please don't forget his season totals also included games against Alabama, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss. BTW; LaTech is not a push over...those kids know how to play football and have had a great year.
@CarlJonesVideo11 жыл бұрын
Thomas you are right about the TD count in these 3 games. UF was his first college game ever and lost by only 3 to a top 10 team. LSU is a good argument and we lost by 5 but had five turnovers to a top 10 team. Neither of these two teams would want to play the Aggies today. Mississippi State...JF was 30 of 36 for 311 passing 129 rushing and 2 TD's, not a close game. JF was all over them passing and rushing.

He's just a freshman. Give him a few more games, he'll have everything sorted out. LSU is blessed with a great secondary (and all around defense), that's why he wasn't doing so great on passing. If you watch more of that game though, you can see plays where Johnny hits Swope, Evans, and Nwachukwu even with coverage. He'll get better, just you wait.

Some things that you conveniently forgot.. He really only played the first half of the Sam Hou, L Tech, S Carolina S, and SMU. So really you're only talking about 2 games worth of stats. 13 pass td's AND 7 RUSHING TDs, not too bad. You also forgot to mention that he managed to put up 308 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs in those games against top-notch completion. Although these numbers aren't jaw-dropping, it's pretty impressive for a QB to do that against those defenses. And he's a freshman
@thomasgalvin406911 жыл бұрын
Actually, Johnny threw 24 TD passes this season.. 13 TD passes in 4 games against Sam Houston State, La Tech, South Carolina State and SMU... 2 TD passes in 4 games against SEC elite Mississippi State, LSU, Florida and Alabama

Clemson was better game to watch; next year will be the Championship for A&M if Johnny can stay healthy doing what he does best.

Being a Longhorn for life I feel bad for liking this kid but it's hard not to especially after what he did to the underrated Alabama since I hate them even more. For once I'm kinda pulling for A&M cause of Johnny. Hopefully my Horns pull it together soon so next season we can have a Texas BCS Horns vs A&M and let the world see what a true rivalry is and see what real football is :)

I was trying to figure out who the hell he reminds me of and at first I thought Charlie Ward? And then I thought maybe a better Denard Robinson? But after really looking at this dude you realize there's nothing to compare this guy johnny football is just johnny football and that to me is the true measurement of greatness. For example everybody compares a quarterback to Payton Manning but nobody compares him to a different quarterback watch him climb to new heights in his game
@aggiejd758311 жыл бұрын
Sorry man, the Aggie's O-Line is great and should hold its own against that strong defense LSU fields. The reason you see those plays is because they are highlights. On the off occasion Johnny Football doesn't have 7+ seconds in the pocket undisturbed he will take off and show you what his feet can do. And after we saw what he can do, we started running more QB draws to put that talent to work.
@m2inla11 жыл бұрын
this kid has great talent, no doubt. one think i noticed is him having to scramble because his o line is getting beat on almost every play in this clip. lsu has an unbelievable d line, and will keep his talents at bay, rack up sacks and probably make him play banged up and bruised before the second half. his best bet is to throw the ball out of the shotgun, because he will likely get hurt if he tries to rush this saturday. i pick lsu 32-14
@WreckingCrewResurgen11 жыл бұрын
no doubt he wont win the Heisman (unless he unleashes on Bama and then I am going to go Obromney campaigning for him to win it, but that has a pretty low chance) like I was saying, he may not win the Heisman, but there is no other player that can match his highlight reel plays. Truly a once in a generation type of player. What he is doing as a frosh is unbelievable at times. You just have to sit back and say "WOW! Did I see what I think I just saw?"
@GridironMasters11 жыл бұрын
In the context of the 2012 season, beating the crimson tide in Tuscaloosa after their inspiring win over LSU, was a greater victory than winning against LSU. Thats not to say of course that LSU isnt a good team.
