The Beautiful Ballad is a Heartfelt Love Song about accountability and Johnny's begging for forgiveness for all of the things he did wrong. The song builds to a crescendo with Johnny promising to love her as he used to while reminding her of how good their lovemaking was, and how good their lovemaking will be if she gives him one more chance at reconciliation.

✋🏾. I 1st heard this song in the early 2000's. I woke up & it was playing on the radio. I was amazed at the passion in Johnny Gill's voice. I've always been a fan of his much but this song hit differently. The title was never announced and it took me several years to find it. It's on my playlist & I sometimes have it on repeat all day.

I often wondered why "Take Me I'm Yours" had such a strong effect on my heart and penetrated my soul. Taking a deeper look into this piece I was amazed at what I discovered. True, Mr. Gill has a magnificent voice, a sensual & passionate delivery, yet he's more than just a singer/entertainer. By creating this "power ballad", he's telling a story about romance in a sincere way - with distinction, superiority, & greatness that grabs the heart. The intro which always impressed me as being majestic, comes by no surprise - having elements of beauty & dignity that could only be delivered by a person of Royalty (that was how Mr. Gill was introduced when he performed at the Apollo). Let us appreciate this artist we have in our midst who is much more than just a person on a mic. Let's applaud the thought, sweat, and yes possibly tears that go into every song he sings. Can only speak for myself . . .much Love to you - Johnny Gill 💞🎶🌹

This work did not have as much success as Johnny Gill's other contemporary pieces. But his vocals are extraordinary as always. For a romantic evening with your significant other, you can't go wrong making this song selection

I agree, based on the content, and the quality of the production, this album did not appear to be as successful as it could have. That said, maybe it was successful from a business standpoint, and although they did not market this project heavily, it made all parties involved satisfied with sales and popularity.
