Johnny was born in 1967 and lived in a huge metro his whole life. He also installed TVs and made sure they were connected to the home network. This is implausible. I could see Kreese not having ever been on the Internet as of 2018, but not Johnny.

Yes, Johnny thanks to his stepfather lived as a rich kid, surrounded by 80s technology, although he would be inept with all the technology advancement, he shouldn't be this illiterate.

It's because he's experienced with installing tech such as TVs but probably never used a computer or the Internet. He knows how to use walk man's, TVs, and and cassette players because he actually used those regularly but this stuff is new to him.

Installation of a smart TV is one thing. It's just a matter of measuring where it can go and mounting it. Connecting it to the home network is the customer's responsibility.

People think it's weird that he hasn't used a computer before... But you gotta remember: He's a child of the 80's as am I. Most of us didn't use computers and had no use for them. Hell, my family was poor and all we had was one hand-me-down, rickety Commodore 64 from a family friend. So, I totally understand where he is coming from.

Watching Johnny start learning about computers, then him enjoying the fun stuff he discovered IS too HILARIOUS! LMAO! 😂🤣 Reminds me of…ME. I don’t blame him for getting so frustrated & impatient. I even had the same problem when 1st starting w/ iPhones. Computers & iPhones CAN be pieces of 💩. “Let’s see what ya got”.

That was probably the only OS he could use on that laptop... That, or Linux. And I have a feeling he's not ready for Linux.

On a technical note: Do you realize how advanced Johnny is in order to use the internet on a WinXP machine? He would have to not only get a compatible Win32 browser, but also configure his laptop with more RAM than usual and install a lot of support packages. He probably did all this work off-cam, but generally, it's not easy to use the internet on a WinXP class laptop.
