John is one of the greatest singers ever, sold millions of records. Always loved this fantastic song still do. He had many very good songs. Memphis, Secret Agent Man, Baby I Need yr Loving, Summer Rain, Rocking Pneumonia and Boogie Woogie Flu(🔥🔥🔥). Best of success on yr channel

Johnny Rivers, whose real name is John Henry Ramistella, is an Italian-American entertainer, singer, song writer. This song was a #1 hit when I was 12 years old. Rivers wrote this tune and was told by his manager that the song was too different and would go nowhere. It is a crying shame and a travesty that Johnny is NOT in the vaunted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Perhaps someday soon those 'in charge' will realize what a crime it is, a make a ''correction''. We can only hope.........

I remember this song was on the radio all the time when it first came out, and there's something very timeless and likable about it. I must've heard it at least 2,000 times but I never get tired of it.
