I love jin and v💞😍

The Korean drama it is from is “Hwarang” that was released in Dec 2016. V also acted in the drama as well as singing this OST. Hwarang is a historical drama and yes, there is sword fighting which is what JHope & JK were teasing V with in the practice room 😄 They performed it during BTS’s Prom Party concert to celebrate their anniversary in 2018. If you watch that you’ll be able to see Jimin & JK’s dance performance to Michael Jackson’s “Black or White” and they actual begin it in those bunny suits you saw at the end 😁

This is one of my absolute favourite songs ever.. Jin's high notes are to die for ..🤗🤗🥰💜💜💜💜its the ost for a historic drama called Hwarang .. It was wonderful 🤗🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍

I absolutely love "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth". It's battles and hidden kings and who is the rightful heir and so much more. Tae is adorable in the movie. His life is so confusing because he is sort of forced into a family position that he does not want because he loves his half-brother.

I laugh every time Jin gets surprised mid note by Jimin and JK's interruption. What's even funnier though is his reaction. Simply oh my goodness and keeps right on singing. I've always noticed how they're all so used to each other's craziness and quirks and they're all just like whatever about it and all such pros. They had each other for practices and rehearsals and performances. Their hard work, their fun, and their challenges were all together. No wonder their bond is so strong.

I read somewhere in this performance Jin just lost his grandma but he had to be professional and sing because he committed .. u can see Jin on the stage is not as usual ..but he did it well ..

On a sidenote, at 14:06 you can see Jimin and Jungkook getting ready to rehearse their amazing dance cover of MJ's Black And White from the same muster concert and believe it or not but they started the dance cover in those bunny suits. 😂

V is a great actor. He did so good in that drama.

Hwarang was one of the first KDramas that I watched. Watched it because I found out V was in it. Loved it. Lots of tears though. It is one that I can watch over and over.

Tae is so cute in the series and this is where he met his group of friends called Wooga Gang. Park Seo Joon is one of the most popular actors in Korea and is in the new Marvel movie.

It's already mentioned that it's the show Hwarang - The Poet Warrior Youth and Tae played a main role in there. It's full of love, action and fun. I highliy recommend to watch it. Fun fact no 1: Shinee's Minho plays a role as well, Fun fact no 2: Hwarang, the elite warriors, really existed between the 4th and 9th century in the ancient Korean kingdom Silla. Fun fact no 3: Kim Taehyung belongs to the Gwangsan Kim clan which are descendants of the Heung Gwang who was the third prince of King Sinmu of Silla. So taehyung has some royal blood. :)

V and Jin were wearing modern versions of Hanboks during the live performance. The Hanbok is the traditional clothing of Korea. Probably because the drama, Hwarang based on a legend/true story from somewhere between the 5th and 7th century in Korea, which at that time was divided into 3 kingdoms, Gugoreo, Shilla, and Baekje (I probably misspelled those) that would be similar to England’s King Arthur and the knights of the round table. That’s because the Hwarang, or poet warrior youth, were an elite unit of warriors from noble families established by the Queen of Shilla as her bodyguards, but also as hostages. Keeping close to her the sons of the nobles that were demanding that she hand over her throne to a male so she could keep their fathers in check. Nobody knows if it’s a real story or fiction. It’s based on a manuscript found in a pottery jar that had been passed down through many generations of a noble family. I don’t remember the exact date, but it was authenticated to about 500 AD, written by a Buddhist monk, but historians disagree about whether it’s an historical account or just a story the monk made up.

Jin reminds me of one of my step-mom's students who had to kick the mic way during a recital. Hell, he didn't need a mic in the backyard. He could be heard for blocks away without one.

So, everyone has told you about the Korean series Hwarang where V acted in as part of the supporting cast, so I won’t get into that. It was his first acting gig , and he did a great job, so much so , that many viewers fell in love with his character. This is what led me to discovering BTS. I went to check out who this lovable actor was, and was surprised to find out he was V, a member of BTS. I had heard of BTS before, but never gave them much thought cause I figured I wouldn’t understand their Korean lyrics. SHAME ON ME ! So curiosity got the best of me, and i said to myself: " Alright, let’s go check out BTS, and see what the big buzz is all about". So I decided to watch one one of their videos….Mic Drop !!! That was it ! I got sooooo sucked into the BTS rabbit hole, and here I am today, part of ARMY at 55 years of age. I thank my lucky stars that I watched Hwarang, for BTS has brought so much joy into my life. So this song has a special place in my Purple Heart. Borahae 💜

This song is responsible for me falling down the BTS rabbit hole in 2017 so this performance has a special place in my heart. As other mentioned this was for the 2018 Prom Party that was streamed on Vlive during Festa that year. You can now purchase the VOD on Weverse (although for copyright Jimin and JK's Black & White performance has a different song over it.) These types of songs are often found at Festa and Muster events where they perform things they know the fans would like to see that aren't on the regular concert rotations.

This was performed at a Muster for ARMY's-they used to one every year. This is one of my most favorite songs ever. And I highly recommend Hwarang as a K-Drama with V in it. SO good and yes there are swords and horses lol

Man I love Jin's belt and watching him so casually nail those notes! Sitting on a couch! You know... I think Jin might actually be not far behind JK for relative pitch / pitch memory, which is extra impressive for someone who had no musical training until adulthood. I'm re-watching this video on March 21, 2024, and enjoying it again. I'd love to see Taehyung and Jin performing 'It's Definitely You' in concert when all seven return from their military duty. Or better yet, change it up to include all the BTS members. We know they'd have so much fun if the staff tossed them play swords and had a mock fight on stage.

Hwarang will forever be one of my favorite kdramas, even if it made me so angry and devastated at some parts 😭 (But 100% worth watching!). Taehyung did so well in the drama, and even met some of his best friends currently when filming. Fun Fact: a member of Shinee Minho is also in it, including some of the biggest names in the film industry like Park Hyungsik and Park Seojoon I believe it’s been 6 years since this song came out!

Like BTS has done with JK. This is when they started their friendship that remains till this day. I love this song so much and I had no idea it was V and Jin only. So amazing how create and diverse every BTS member is. On another note, I appreciate how focused your reactions are and the aspects of the music, lyrics, and voices, etc., impact you and also your professional opinions about the music melodies, etc. and how they compliment each other.

I'm curious what they do to Jin's voice in the studio. I'm not saying he doesn't sound good on record, but he sounds amazing live. It's such a noticeable difference. I guess I understand them doing it in the beginning when maybe his vocals weren't as strong, but how can you honestly listen to that man live and think it needs to be altered? There is just something really special in his voice that they seem to cut out in studio.

FESTA is BTS' annual 1-week period of celebration of their debut anniversary on June 13th. So, at the end of the period, BTS will hold a concert for ARMYs called the MUSTER - a military term which means 'to assemble' (only ARMYs can attend and seats are very limited so tickets are given through a raffle). So the stage performance you watched here is from BTS 4th MUSTER 2018 called 'Prom Party' ). So far, BTS only held the MUSTERs in South Korea. This OST - 'Definitely You' was written by V. You saw Jimin trying a yellow costume. That was part of his performance with JK. They performed an amazing dance cover for MJ's song 'Black and White'. There is a video on this performance, also on BangtanTV.
