Very sad to report that Johnson Hardware is closing on May 1, 2018. Great sale on all merchandise going on at the moment. I heard the story correctly the site was purchased for a building project. These mom & pop places are endangered species.

THEY ARE CLOSING - Confirmed by an associate producer that worked with me on this KZfaq video. Apparently the deal has been in the works for the past year, and the hardware store itself (according to sources yet to be names -- uhoh, fake news?) will be demolished by the developer that cut the deal.
