An excavator demolishes a house on Arlington Road in Bethesda, Maryland. Several houses were being razed to make way for a new apartment building.

No wonder in a hurricane these houses fall apart. Timber construction might be cheap, but not very strong!

All old, energy inefficient. It's worth nothing, and no one's going to spend the time yanking it out. Who needs single pane windows?

chechnya , I do, for a porch, to be enclosed and unheated. I believe in re-purposing as many things as practical.

I know it makes these houses like a freakin house of cards shot with a slingshot. Very eerie that all of that hard construction work that sheltered people from the elements while letting them build memories is like a wet paper sack to these CATS.

The owners sold voluntarily, and were paid enough of a premium to easily afford another house a little farther from the subway. Also, a number of the houses had been converted to offices, so the businesses in them would have relocated to elsewhere in Bethesda.

Ya had one job , homey and that was to demolish a house . The only problem is it was the house next door 😂🙂

Nonsense. Look at the roof line. The thing is a wreck and wasn't so good to begin with. It would be a waste of space to preserve it.

Wood is still a popular construction material, although engineered wood products like Oriented Strand Board are more likely to be used where ordinary boards were when this old house was built.

The operator is much more aggressive and in control than most of these I've watched. Maybe a better machine.

Mostly boils down to skill and how comfortable you are with the piece of equipment but yes a 336E is very good candidate for demo. I got some good vids similar to this on my channel.

Need more money? Put on another addition, get more rent. Some of the other houses in your series at least had some qualities. This one was like an old horse that needed to be put down. Good series.
