Supplies for making the easiest junk journal
1. Book pages in different thicknesses, sizes, styles, fonts and colours
2. Scrapbook paper, collage paper (digital papers and coffee dyed papers are optional)
3. String or embroidery thread for binding the signature
4. A needle
5. Two pegs or bulldog clips
6. Scissors and/or a paper trimmer
7. A glue stick
8. Optional - an awl for poking holes in the papers

Ohhh how I love this video! ❤️ I havnt done any junkjournal yet, but that is my next thing to try. And I have watched sooo many "how to make a junkjournal" videos but this one is definitely one of the best ones I've seen!!! ❤️ Informative, interesting, helpful, good pace and it's possible to make with stuff that we already has in our little collecting mania hehe... But the first thing I've noticed was your voice and tone. Sooo kind and like balm to my ears. Almost comfortingly voice... So now I do have "more on my feet" (swedish proverb) so I can try and make my first junkjournal! Thanks alot and hugs from a Swedish junkjournal beginner 🇸🇪❤️

Tip: if using bull dog clips, fold an index card within the clip so it doesn't make marks on your pages.

@@joiedefi I keep forgetting to mention this .. In case you haven't said this in any video (I don't remember hearing it) you might want to mention, next time you are sewing paper, that it's very important not to set the stitch length too small. Tiny stitches essentially perforate the paper such that it's very easy to tear apart. The thread is stronger than the weaken sewing line in the paper. There's a quilting technique called *paper piecing* where you want that to happen. Fabric is sewn to a paper pattern with small stitches, then the paper is easily removed. Handling a journal frequently is enough stress on the paper, with very close holes, to make them pop.

Okay... I'm going to make more single signature journals because I'm practically drooling over yours. ❤️ I really like hearing the paper tears, glue cap popping off, cutter cutting, etc. which one doesn't get with a voice over. Your instructions, decision making explanations and why you are doing what you do is spot on. Your methods have taught me so much. I really prefer to not always use digitals or coffee dyed papers. It took me a while to realize that true junk journaling slows so much more freedom to fill up the pages. You have shown us how to expand our concepts of "organization" and creativity. Thank you. By the way, my Joie sampler is in a one signature Joie style journal, replete with twine binding.

I am so excited. I just put together a junk Turtle totally following your instructions. All my folds are not exactly the same but similar enough and I am so happy with it.
