Coming from other languages error handling in Golang still "feels" inferior, but your explanation makes a huge difference in how I think about it. Thanks!

Thanks for your comment Tim! I agree that other languages may have better error handling capabilities and that this can seem fairly cumbersome at first, but I have found it to be better at purposefully forcing the developer to think about how they handle errors. It's definitely preferential to some of the exception throwing/handling practices I've seen at some of my previous companies in languages like PHP for example.

I am having problem with ErrNoRows. It is actually giving me an empty record. err is not catching SQL: no rows in resultset. any clue.
