Pain + Rupture is definitely one of my favourite combinations. I once had a run where I got offered 5 ruptures. I took 4 because I had the pain already in my deck, and on those 4 occasions there was no defence card as alternative choice. Eventually died to Gremlin leader because powering through was the only defence card offered, somewhere in act 2.

Blue Candle should be a shop relic. It fits the shop relic gist: a potent but situational effect that can be absolutely useless/actively harmful in specific circumstances. While we're at it, Dead Branch should also be a shop relic.

Don't blame pain, he's an honest chap, he's everywhere and nowhere. The pain he gives you is wonderful and you thank him for it

01:35 LOL! My eye also twitched when the Pommel Strike did 10 damage. My guess is despite the rounded value the card displays, when played on an enemy, all buffs and debuffs are calculated together before rounding. So Pommel Strike said 6 in-hand, but when played, was 9 * 0.75 * 1.5 = 10.125, rounded off to 10 damage. Tricky interaction if you assume the card display is rounded off and do the x1.5 math in your head. If jorbs had 1 energy less, he might have chosen Defend+ over the Pommel and may have taken more unnecessary damage in the fight.

Another nice way I once boosted my strenght was Rupture, Feel No Pain, Necronomicurse, Blue Candle. Exhaust Necronomicurse, take 1 HP damage, strength goes up, the exhaustion increases block, but this curse can't leave your hand, so it comes back and you can repeat it. (EDITED. Thanks, Grue3)

A violin and a fiddle are functionally the same instrument. The difference is in literature; a violinist plays symphonies, while a fiddle player plays more folk songs or popular music. Not a complete definition, but close enough. Also, re: the CO2 levels… maybe a plant? I think a spider plant helps to clean air in spaces…
