If you had a button that would give you 20 gold everytime you pressed it but it killed a rat with fungus would you press it?

@tybahza5643 i think being bested in a duel to the death is a better way for the rat to go than the fungus slowly and agonisingly killing it and taking over it's body

does anyone know which mods jorbs is using?

They're a bunch of quality of life mods which don't affect gameplay. There's one that shows relic stats (floor obtained, damage dealt, etc.), which I think is just called Relic Stats. There's also one that lets Twitch viewers hover over relics to see what they do. I think that one is called Slay the Relics. There's 2 or 3 other ones, but I can't remember what they are.

Sometimes for pocketwatch, other times to prevent it from getting shuffled into the deck when it'll get shuffled into the deck instead of put into his hand due to the draw from rushdown. If you have it in hand when you shuffle your deck, you both have it in your discard to pop back on stance swaps as well as prevent it from eating up a card draw for the next time through your deck, which is often worth more than dealing a bit of damage.

a thing i've learned from watching spire players who are better than me is that if they're choosing not to play cards for no reason i can discern, it probably has something to do with pocketwatch

I kind of wish he'd pick Metamorphosis more often. To be fair, on the others it tends to be weaker than Greed but more fun while on Watcher some of the rolls you can get are not fun. Like a card which ends your turn has got to be one of the worst attacks and probably wouldn't even be worth considering for the 1 drop unless it did at least 18 damage AoE and it only does 12. That would be mediocre as a colorless card, but they put it on Watcher which makes it worse. On Silent getting something like Choke, Sneaky Strike, and All-Out-Attack might not be the perfect roll on an elite fight if your deck doesn't have acrobatics, but it's still fun to work with.

I lost count of the number of times he didn't play all of his energy or zero-cost attacks in dire situations. But still pulled out a win, well done!

He had an early pocket watch so he was often setting up to draw an extra 3 the next turn, I was also wondering the same. Other times could be for incense burner counters

Yup, pocket watch or putting other relics on the right number (incense burner, etc.) is almost always why Jorbs will delay lethal when he's not actively about to die/take a bunch of damage. Sometimes the highest expected value play involves delaying the fight's end to be at a specific time, particularly with relics that count the number of cards you play/turns you take between fights.
