Wouldn't really say it's a middle finger to EA, the only similarities are the all-out warfare and that's it. Battlefield is set more towards an arcade play-style, Squad is for more serious gamers looking for juicy military simulation style combat.

In real life soilders are like this only .speqcially young ones and who goes for operations ....you have to do 1600 m in India here for lower rank officer Nd daily physical excersise in morning and evening ..when they are petrolling ..they have to carry 5 kg gun plus walk 15- 20 km a day.dont create a image of soilders by movies

@Rahul Majumder You DON'T KNOW how strong they are simply by looking at their forearms. Indian soldier or not, all soldiers build muscle for endurance and heavy weights and not showy muscles. That man can be perfectly built beneath that clothing, it just doesn't show, not everything shows, and they don't need to, an Indian soldier can have those forearms, in fact I have seen soldiers have those forearms and they are PERFECTLY fit to do these jobs because they built and trained for it. Not everybody in military combat units are built like Greek gods in the likes of Hrithik and Tiger Shroff and not everybody is bulky and muscley like Arnold and Sylvester Stalone or Salman, these guys do it for showing off cause they are in the FUCKING SHOW BIZ. Soldiers come in all shapes and sizes and even Special Operations guys like your ParaSF, MARCOS, Garud and NSG guys don't have show business muscles, they look completely unassuming, normal, civilian, your nice chashmish uncle Rakesh who gives you book suggestions to read type people. But beneath all that clothing, they have some of the most endurance built bodies in the world and some very deadly skills to go with it, but what they have especially which MANY people don't seem to possess is the mental toughness to go through the type of training they do, cause it is some of the world's hardest. 1 man armies taking on 40 is not a thing, never has been, no Special Ops unit in any military of the world is capable of doing that, that's not what they are trained for, they are also not "elite." What they DO have is a LOT more resilience and they are smart enough to think independently without the need for orders if things go south. All of these are stupid myths built about soldiers through movies, games and entertainment.

This is one of the most biggest problems I encountered in the past. No one cares about asset rule/ claiming rule. Some Servers doesn't even have such rules. You never had situations like that in project reality kinda sucks imho.

@@DerMetalmatiker in PR the community was not that big and every server has pretty active admins who strictly care about they're rules. Squad is somehow bigger and that brings some issues like that. But unfortunately squad is a amazing successor to project reality.

@@Samuel-ut7mj It is worth every penny, I played bf1 and bf5 and I found them arcade af so I stopped playing after about 20hrs, a real waste of money, I now have 200hrs on squad and I am still actively playing. If you enjoyed bf but you are looking for a more realistic experience (less arcade) and also are willing to communicate in vocal chat (the community is very good, in these 200 hours I can not remember having seen any toxicity) then squad is the game for you. I would strongly recommand it :) Right now I'd say that 95% of na servers are full (used to be about 50% before official release, so new servers are now getting created by the community) so dw there is not a lack of player as well :)

As a real soldier, I'd warn you may be pretty disappointed. Although several cut scenes were kinda there (1:42 - 1:43... guy on a machine gun mounted on a pickup behind cover is spot on during active engagements), most cut scenes featured way too many explosions, unrealistic AT weapons usage (insta-scope and shoot is never a thing) and the same overall chaos that most action games suffer from in terms of their lack of realism. What people don't get about war is that 95% of it is just waiting... Waiting for another battalion to be in position. Waiting to receive permission to go into a city... waiting for air support to clear the most heavily fortified positions... waiting for your platoon to clear a building. You hear all the shooting going on inside, while you are stuck covering some back alley with no-one there... and you need the mental strength to remain in your position and focused on your task (covering that alley) until you are told to rejoin. Another unrealistic thing is that enemies are always so easily visible in video games. In reality, you are lucky to ever see your enemy. In the overwhelming majority of engagements, you don't actually see the guys you are shooting at. You hear some sporadic gunfire from some area located 450 feet away, and you just begin shooting in the general direction without knowing if you're hitting anything. That one time you do see someone, your adrenaline begins pumping and you begin missing the majority of your shots because of it. You can't tell where your bullets are hitting unless you are lucky enough to see a puff of dust, or have some tracer rounds (which also reveal your position) in your rifle. There are times you think you hit the guy... and yet he just keeps on shooting at you like nothing. They often don't realize they are shot until after the excitement dies down. Even then, they will keep fighting until 2 days later when they eventually bleed out. You are then stuck covering that last known location for hours until your team mounts a plan to go examine the area... only to realize the guys shooting at you have been long gone. In Iraq, there were times kids were being used as human shields. Any little guy saying "hey bro" to you one day could be wearing an explosive belt on him the next. After you lose your first 3-4 buddies, you don't know who to trust anymore... Once you live through the real thing, all these games just feel arcade-ish and don't capture the real thing. Those so called "vets" that do play it have often never been in actual danger areas and were mainly assigned to the boring stuff.

@@leoncampa eh tbh squad does an alright with making you wait for stuff to happen and for the most part these are the most action packed scenes that you'll sort of see, but yeah it's definitely not going to be realistic (combat feels tense but not stressful, and things happen way quicker than they do than real life, which is just a byproduct of the fact that it's a game so people are much more accurate with their shots and the guns don't feel and look like they're hand-me-downs from 2010) and also you're not fearing for your life and aren't concerned at all about your own safety much less everyone else's since you can come back in two minutes and do it all again

@@leoncampa here they only showed the action, but you do wait a lot in this game. There are whole matches where you just have to hold your position and barely see any enemies at all. Also spotting enemies is very very difficult, especially in urban areas and swamps
