Thanks Mitch! I have a character that I'm wanting to be able to dance. So how do I rig my character so his legs bend to the right, and then to the left and then a squat (one left one right)? Is it possible to animate angle constraints? Thanks.

What I mean is I want him to be able to bend the other way mid-animation. I hope I make sense lol.

I'm having such a problem with bones and rigging. Just when I thought I was getting somewhere, I seem to have taken ten steps backward! Should you add bones when limbs are apart from each other, or when they're in place, or doesn't it matter? Another tutorial I watched had us using the 'Offset Bone' tool to move all boned limbs into place once the bones had been set, but every time I do this, it all goes horribly wrong - with limbs being strecthed and bouncing all over the place! I tried adding limbs to this bone tutorial, after following all the way through, and that was a total disaster. Another issue I have is limbs affecting other parts of the body - even when all bones are correctly parented and strength is set to extremely low values. Say I move one rigged leg, it stretches the other leg's shoe, and the arms distort the head and body etc, etc. I come from an Illustrator/Photoshop background, so getting my head around how the drawing tools work in MOHO is a struggle too. I can't even draw a signle curved line that has a stroke in MOHO! Try and change the brush stroke or colour of a shape that I've drawn, and I'm on the verge of having a 'stroke' myself! I'm doing something horribly wrong, but I just can't understand what.

Rigging can be difficult. I suggest you check out my rigging playlist. Especially look for videos that have a title about fixing things, and bone binding. Using offset bones, for offset limbs, is possible, but it’s an older style. The newer style is to just hide the shapes or bones that are in the way. If you haven’t already done so, I would suggest looking at the basic tutorials in the Moho documentation. They describe offset bones. As far as the kind of crazy movement when you move bones, I have a couple of videos talking about fixing such problems. The most likely situation is that you may have smart bones that are affecting shapes unexpectedly. My videos explain how to figure that out and how to fix it, but it is a bit complicated. So it may take some time and playing around to figure it out. Good luck.
