My brother enjoyed this song, he was battling cancer for two and a half years and unfortunately it got the best to him. He passed away a year ago and I was deeply hurt and grieving heavily. Listening to this song a year later just upsets me because it reminds me of my brother, he was depressed from all the pain he had to deal with. I’m just heartbroken to not see him again and I miss him everyday. And I’m not here to seek for attention, I hate that, but I’m speaking out for other people because I know there are people like me who go through a big loss for their loved ones. I miss you Dante, I love you brother. 💚

He was the first man who sent songs to me and made me listen to them. We are completely opposite in music taste.. "slow dancing in the dark" was I think the first song he made me listen to.. He also told me about Joji. I thought I just liked the song or the music. It was sad yet beautiful..then I realized, I already fell in love with him that was why I felt every word of the lyrics and every beat of the music.. I even started to listen to all joji's songs.lol. then we stopped communicating, Still I kept listening to the songs. And all I could think about was him... I love him.. and even we can't be together, he still has a place in my heart. He will always be important and special..🙂

This is the best piano version of this song there is. No other musican manage to put the right mood to the interpretation, not even The Theorist in my opinion. Everyone else seems to over-do it. Sometimes while arranging and/or playing arrangements, you need to make the pieces personal on some kind of level. Often times interpretations are just about "look what I can do on the piano", and feels more of an experiment rather than an actual personal performance. I felt like you told me something personal, the way you played it. I would have changed few things in the arrangement, but it was still as if the song was made for solo piano. Well done. Deserves way more views
