Whenever Jojo used to (and still) talk about her friendship with Colleen and Rachel she ALWAYS would say “I’m really mature for my age” or “I grew up really fast” “I relate to people who are older than me” that is a huge red flag to look for in children who experience abuse (dance moms, entertainment industry, grooming). Have you ever heard of the Big Brother/ Big Sister Program? BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS (BBBS) seeks to establish matches between youth (Littles) and volunteer adults (Bigs) that result in consistent interaction and a high level of relationship quality, marked by friendship, bonding and trust. Risks are diminished through supportive adult involvement; the caring adult volunteer focuses on the youth’s interests, strengths, and resources rather than the youth’s deficits or the deficits in their environment.

Agreed! 💯
@CompanionBeans9 ай бұрын
@@umbellicalchick5635 imo a (positive)mentor/child relationship is much different from a friendship. In a friendship both people should ideally be giving and taking about the same amount, but a responsible adult in a mentor role recognizes that it is their responsibility to guide the child and keep them safe, and not expect anything(except maybe their own moral gratification) in return. Another important aspect of a healthy friendship is putting one's own needs first(this doesn't mean never making sacrifices for your friends, but you shouldn't be destroying yourself for them)- whereas in a mentor/child relationship the adult should always put the child's needs first, and if they're unable to do so it's their responsibility to find someone who can. Kids are still learning what healthy relationships look like so it's up to the adult to set certain boundaries for them while also respecting those set by the child(within reason, their needs still come before their feelings so sometimes doing the right thing will upset them). I do absolutely agree that family members aren't inherently safe though- they're arguably the most common culprits when it comes to abuse

She is only using the situation as a way to come back into the limelight and to play the victim. She has done nothing but profit off of the situation. Monetize video after monetize video and you all are really falling for it because she “changed” She has not changed in the slightest. And she still hasn’t taken any accountability for falsely, accusing an innocent Man. You all like to claim she has changed but the woman was in her 30s when she did this and if she wasn’t called out she would’ve went to her grave ruining that man’s name. Don’t call that a mistake and don’t call that problematic. Do you think it’s a coincidence that every friend she has has later been found out to be a racist predator? You really think that’s a coincidence because birds of a feather flock together. And she never cares about any of these dynamics unless she feel slighted by them. As long as she is benefiting, she will be friends with anyone. As soon as she feels like they stabbed her in the back, she turns on them. It has nothing to do with the racist and predatory behavior…..and everything to do with her ego. DEAR TRISHA, You are a disgusting human being. Sitting there profiting off the victimization of children to make money on your channel. Why are all the videos where you bring up the victims MONETIZED. You care so much about kids than give it to an organization? I thought you said on your “Colleen” video you WERE NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT IT anymore? This is like your 8th monetized video? Trish YOU ARE NO VICTIM. YOU align yourself with racist predators like Shane, Jeffree, Nash and the Vlog Squad, and Colleen and YOU engage in the SAME behaviours as they do. Where is YOUR accountability and apology? You literally flashed your vagina to teens on that TV show you did. as someone who was groomed, but only recently woke up to that fact, I completely agree with so much that you said. I just turned 30 but I still look back and think, yeah, those men were my friends...but they weren't, they were grooming me so they could get the things that they wanted and I had no idea because I was so young. I fully believe that Jojo was groomed by Colleen, even if she thinks she wasn't. I also find it weird though, that her family fully supported her being friends with so many adults. Hey Trish, don’t know if you would even read this, but I think this was a really well put video. I think it’s amazing that your trying to set your boundaries and show where you stand on many of these situations. I’m really sorry that you had to get hurt by so much of this in the process. ❤ sending out lots of love and I hope you can recover. You said multiple times throughout the video that “setting aside your own pain and emotional damage” but remember even though you weren’t under age (like all the other victims) you like josh were taken advantage of and thrown into really horrible situations that you obviously shouldn’t have (and obviously felt uncomfortable in.) and that’s without us knowing the full extent of it, because, us as fans, don’t have the full grasp of what went on behind the scenes nor the gravity of how everything took place. Just know that none of this is your fault (because you sound really self accusing in the vid) and understand that you have to heal from this pain as much as everyone else that was spited and hurt. Also as a quick insert that you might/might not want to hear but I think is kind of important, adam-m. has been really caring for you and sending a lot of love your way too. He’s been defending you and trying to mend the relationship if you want to. From what’s been talked about it sounds like there was some kind of misunderstanding and he took accountability on his podcast vid and apologized for everything and anything he might have done. Lots of love and warm wishes your way.😊
