that mic he's using to monitor himself, is it a Rode NT3?
@Bluums10 жыл бұрын
he doesn't use click track while playing with others, he uses it only on clinics when playing with a backing track

Whats the Name of this Mini Mixer?
@AlChile210 жыл бұрын
Excuse me, he says are basically 3 tracks: a stereo music track and a click track. So, where is the click track? It is not there... only the music one. Interesting video, thanks.
@leedsdrumacademy9 жыл бұрын
The click is a plug-in - the reason why he uses a different track is so he can change the routing and send it only to his ear monitors. :)
@AlChile29 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your reply. Would you be so kind to recommend me a plug-in for do that?, and also to tell me what would be the plug-in input and output? (please excuse my ignorance). Thanks in advance

At 3:40 he adjusts one of them to come to rest on the hoop crashes. I think they are there to keep the crashes from hopping around

Push - pull technique at about 170bpm (16th notes). I'm up to 130bpm after 3 months of practising it, but it's taken a lot of practice just to get this far! Jojo has it down but Ramon Montagner is the king of that particular technique for me.

@ericmsandoval4 жыл бұрын
Don’t be. The HHX Omni in particular is amazingly versatile. Weird isn’t always bad, ya know ;)

Push-Pull. Go for it! ;)
@1dudecrush10 жыл бұрын
Rogg0815 it was like push pull, moeller technique and french grip all had a baby. he has videos where he explains how he just transitions through all those techniques while playing, its pretty nuts.
@Clementine_left_me10 жыл бұрын
Mitch ZImmerman push pull *is* the moeller technique..
@DobutamineLover10 жыл бұрын
CJ Years of bad marching band drum-line instruction has obliterated any chance of learning these techniques :( At least I can do double stroke rolls at triple forte on a pillow...
@Clementine_left_me10 жыл бұрын
DobutamineLover No way! Anyone can learn the push-pull technique- in fact, many people when drumming at a high tempo begin to naturally use the push-pull technique without even realizing it. Just search for some good videos to find some practice exercises!

My setup is a sonor force 505 that I bought off a guy for $250, spent two much on paistes and zildjians because I saw them on TV or something, threw some pinstripes on it then gave it to my son so I could buy a Pearl Masterworks for about eleventy billion dollars, kidding myself that I was good enough to justify it. As much as I hate to admit it, not only does the Sonor sound as good as or better than the Pearl, but my son who's 7 is already a better drummer than me. I do, however, have a neater haircut than JoJo Mayer. And probably a bigger dog. I'll shut up now.
