We never see them do this because Johnathan and Joseph either choose to spare their human enemies, they were vampiric creatures that disintegrated or they were fighting Stand users that didn't attack in close quarters combat. (And other nice perks like a small healing factor, water walking, slowed aging (though it doesn't seem to let you live beyond a normal human lifespan) and reading a person's destiny with a touch)) It's only real weakness is the need to maintain your breathing so choking them or using an airborne irritant can disarm them fairly easily.

Gonna go cry now, because Jonathan was the actual one that started all this ( i mean, Kars created the mask in the first place but yeah ) and this just brings back memories now that I've watched all of the parts and i am reading part 7, im real sensitive when it comes to something that has already ended and i just don't want to let go of it. Like the whole jjba thing, it will all be just a memory one day and people will forget about it ( istg i am gonna have a panic attack bc of this ) and just the thought of people forgetting about Jonathan makes me have that weird feeling in my stomach, its like i will explode any second now, like you are under so much pressure you want to die ( my breathing is accelerated also ) And again the thought of this all ending makes me want to die and never in my life watch anime again, it's not like Jonathan or rather anyone in this anime is real but it still gives me a hard time going through that thought. Overall i just don't want something i love ( basically jjba saved me from alot of things, i know it sounds like its cap, but it really isn't ) to slip away from me, like i want it to continue forever until i die. I genuinely don't want to live anymore, but now that i think about it, Araki has a solid 20 years more to live. So in conclusion i will be 30+ years by then, i will probably have a happy life, a job, possibly a partner and so on, and i won't have to worry about that kind of stuff, but here i am still having this strange feeling in my stomach everytime i see or hear about Jonathan or any other Jojo charecter that i love. Oh lord, saying this really made feel better.
