I bought the Tribit 8 months ago I bought the JBL BB3 two weeks ago to compare them The BB3 has louder, clean, clear sound with great bass BUT it tends to sound somehow thinner because it has lots of separation of the lows, mids and highs The Tribit sounds fuller and the sound is also clean and clear with fantastic bass on regular setting plus I get 16 hours battery life at 50-70% The BB3 died at around 10 hours at 50-70% volume Two Tribits for stereo pairing is still a better deal than one BB3 and after hours of listening to both the Tribit just sounds better to my ears My advice is save yourself the money. The Tribit Stormbox Blast is a PHENOMENAL speaker with much better battery life

If you like clear highs, BB3 is for you. If that isn’t a priority, Tribit is good enough.

Very nice review, I received my Storm blast Saturday and have really been impressed with what I'm hearing 🤯. This speaker is on par with my Fluance fi50 which is an Audiophile class speaker system, my other 14 speakers are out classed by the Tribit and I'm speaking of brands Sony, LG, Altec Lansing, W-King and Sharp and the best part of it is, I got this speaker for just $104 💵 with my Prime membership discounts... Really still can't believe how fantastic the sound quality is with this speaker ( Hi resolution and Hi Fi would not be inappropriate) descriptions

great review! yes i got both speakers. outdoors? my sony xg500 with updates and poweramp app with eq? jamming at partys is much louder and bigger soundstage. and cheaper. amazon refurbished 169$ lol!

I've never listened to it but when I was first getting into speakers I almost got one. Id be concerned about the aging bluetooth tech in it.

Hey i just received mine today sounds great. However, after charging for about 100 as per app, the battery level went down to 94 then 91 to 89 n then again 87 to 91 within ten minutes of playing at lower volume let say 30 percent and with lights off. So tell me is this normal or mine is an exceptional case.

I have both of these speakers. Overall the Tribit sounds better with deeper bass and a more refined sound. The Soundcore still sounds great and is way more portable. They both have their place. I also had the Aiwa Exos 9 that someone else mentioned. It was my all time favorite BT speaker. Sadly it was stolen and they went out of business before I replaced it:(

I just received on labor day ,2 stormbox blast, I did download tribit app, updated firmware to latest version. 1st off change thru all the eq settings, xbass only working with the pre loaded xbass eq setting, soon as I change to different eq setting it turns xbass off on speakers. Not happy, also app only reads 90% battery just after full charge. Here's a kicker, fully charged at 80% volume playing for 2.5 hours when put on charge , charging light was blinking red ,indicating very low. Is there any way to use xbass in all eq settings , with it turning off when changing to another eq setting. Also I tryed custom settings it sounds muddy.all factory eq settings sound muddy, there also paired in stereo

Got to say that from listening to both the Soundcore sounds a thousand times better. The Tribit sounded like it was burried somewhere. I guess it's not the same in person. If it helps anyone, I got myself a Soundcore Motion+ recently. Absolutely love it. The sound is clean and rich. I even bought a second one to plug on my PC with aux in, and both in stereo is just real cool.

The Tribit uses a barrel charger. The usb is not for power delivery.

That's one of the wats companies like tribit and anker save us money because they don't cover them in fabric and such..the housing of JBL speakers use the same plastics then they coat it with fabric and JBL charges us from $50 to $150 more for the fabric according to speaker size of course.

If you need a speaker you can walk around with on the regular then the Tribit StormBox Blast most definitely ain’t it. If not then copping the TSBB is a no brainer. I’m in the former camp so sadly I had to return. Weight matters 😕

Gahhh. Well the tribit has much more updated bluetooth and will he able to take advantage of LE Audio specs in the future. Sound wise, the tribit is louder and sounds more sophisticated. But the marshall has a nice warm sound. I think the blast is a great buy if you don't mind the looks.

Its important to say (because many reviewers dont mention it): YOU CANT CHARGE UP THE TRIBIT WITH A REGULAR POWERBANK! This disqualifies the (not so portable) tribit speaker for me.

Maybe only 10watts but I think watts in sound are logarithmic and the extra weight is probably the magnets where all speakers weight is/should be....all that extra weight is due to the extra magnet weight/power. 🧲 👍😉
