heroes could cheer you up that makes you stronger mentally and idk maybe also physically. but villains can pull you out of your naivety and makes you much more stronger mentally and teaches you how to live your life and let you know that there’s no good and bad, that it depends on what perspective is seen and shown, villains are scary because of how honest and how much knowledge they hold and it’s overwhelming everyone that they’re now branded as villains, they can see through you.

We all are monsters, we're so close to giving in and enjoying the dark side of our psyche. When things fall apart and darkness reigns - the shadow stirs from within. I can feel it, when watching violence and I get a kick or knowing that all my training can be used to oppress just as easily as defend. We're so close to being the monsters that existed during wars and in the darker times of humanity's eras. The joker represents the acted out potential of all of this so perfectly.

My friend had told me, its because if you really think about it... nothing he says is untrue, its just thinking outside the box and putting chaos back into the equation. Crazy. I think its also why batman never kills him. He understands that in a way hes right, but he still cares to protect the lives of the innocent ( the people who live in the fantasy world dont know they are bad, thats the only way they know) Anyone know if this is true or my friend just sold me a story

It is and was always a fight between the protected, safe people, who hadnt their life turned upside down, and the broken people, who have been ruined and crumbled under their problems and traumas weight. And what do they call these broken people? "Weak." "Too weak to face life" "full of self-pity" and other horrible things. They are abandoning them and throwing them in the next trashcan, so that they can continue endulging in their perfect, little existence. They preach compassion, love and tolerance but are put off or even disgusted by the simple thought of the existence of people, who are not as happy and delusioned as them. They are only loving and social for their own ego and will stop giving a shit if no one aknowledges their good little deeds. People like the Joker are the logical consequence and the only answer to their society.

So what I understand from the movie is - the importance and problems of social contract. Social contract is what we all sign to live in this society, in a civilized manner. That means not to steal anything, not to hurt anyone, basically not to do anything which harms the public order. But when we see that contract in real life, we see that we limited resources in this world. Maybe just a little more then what everyone needs to survive. But the development of a human brain over a million years have made us Greedy. And the civilization is very very young when you compare it to the greed. This will make the front runners always take more than what they need. The more the better. I bet people who complain would do the same if they'd be in there position. Not all but most, we know good and self sacrificing people are rare. And nowadays grabbing the money is soo easy for big people that it looks without consequenses They think they should take it as they deserve it. But as the people above get more to eat people below get less or none. And if you don't give a human food to eat, or money to take care of its family. He starts questioning the Social Contract which he signed. As its not of any use of him. And that social order is the only thing which makes the society work properly. Then, he don't care what the law says as his top most priority as a human being has been threatened. So he would do whatever he could for his stomach or his respact or family etc. That makes him joker. And to maintain this social order again disrupted by joker Batman comes. Who don't care what joker went through and how he is just a result of a broken society. the cycle continues till anyone of them wins if joker wins he will break the social order and make a new one which is very harsh and will take much time. If Batman wins he will be a guy who would yield the power to be a threat to anyone who breaks the social order making it better, little by little.

Just Imagine the way the world treats normal people. Then those people become more like the world. Hard. Cruel. But when someone doesn’t do that, and they become kinder? The entire system beats them into a cold and hard shell. We all used to think that Superman was the greatest, or Batman, or Wonder Woman. But once you see them from the other side, you understand that the world spared them nothing. We are all villains in one way or another, but not all of us, have what it takes to be a hero. Not one in the comics, but one who knows the truth. One who knows the story of a person who the world turned on. I have no problem with being called a villain if I change the world. Villains make the world different, heroes are the ones who keep it the same. If we want our world to change, not everyone is going to think it’s for the better. We’re always hurting someone. So why not just be like the Joker, and hurt them all to make it even?

is he really a villan though? he makes more sense than half the people in the world, its actually really sad that mistakes like these that careless people make can ruin someone. Thats why when walking outside or going shopping i never forget to wave or smile to people, it can have a big impact. giving a simple smile to a person who believes they are not wanted is very important. Always show a little bit of kindness, show a person that they dont need to resort to murder for people to notice them

Joker is the most human character, who has his flaws but at least he ain't a fake or just an actor. He feels more realistic as a human living being. All actions make sense, natural and logical.

I read many comments and yes you can sympathize with Arthur, but please do not feel bad for The Joker in general. Don’t let his past make you forget the horrific things he has done in the comics and shows if that’s The Joker you feel bad for. Murdering Jason, eating China, kill children, torture the bat family, etc. The Joker was a normal man but then got way too deep in madness when the world just kept fucking him over and now that normal man is gone. We can feel bad for what happened but do not relate to him. Do not see him as human. The person he was before is gone. Now he is possibly the most evil thing in DC. The Joker is a monster created by the people of society. Relate to Arthur if you want (as long as you don’t actually kill people). But like some comments here do NOT relate or sympathize with the actual Joker. Arthur is a more human version. The actual Joker is just pure evil and no human alive can relate to him. At least from what I can tell. I’m just putting this out there because thinking like that is dangerous. Trust me when I say I was there too. One last time remember Arthur and Comic Joker very different things. That is all thank you.

So people always complain about movies like this, that takes too long to get to the point and is needlessly sad. People like that are no different than the assholes in the movie and reality. People like that are toxic because they don't understand that in order to understand something or someone, we must know their pain. Humans are only capable of learning through pain and nothing else.

Not all though this joker fits the type 2 antivillian category evil that made from coercion of society or even just parents being bad at parenting to point not caring for kid that kid becomes monster faster. Basicly people you pity as they never were given choice between good and evil because never given support aka love person psychologicaly need and created by society in sense into paranoid kind people who could been good if society had any care for them!
