We are usually raised by our grandparents because both of our mom and dad works overseas or far from our hometown. You should try the palabok though and Jollibee serve them. I will be in the Philippines this october hope to share some jollibee time with you sir Dan...

*Palabok is rice noodles similar to Pansit but it has a different sauce and it has thicker noodles traditionally as thick as spaghetti but more opaque and cut shorter. The sauce is made of reduced shrimp broth making it thick and served with boiled egg slices, sauteed shelled shrimp, thin pork slices. Other variants even put in crushed "chicharon" (crispy pork rinds). A dash of "kalamansi" (a small sour fruit similar to lime) juice is also added to it to and tartness to the dish. Other versions use Vermicelli noodles or clear mung bean noodles*

I find it amusing that you seem to be reacting to a lot of Filipino videos. :) Someone may or may not have commented on this but, Palabok (the noddle dish) is pronounced pa-LA-bok, not PA-labok and Tagalog is pronounced as tag-A-log, and TAG-alog. Also the official language is Filipino, not Tagalog. ;)

Here in Singapore palabok is called Fiesta noodles
