@@daple1997 Nah you can make significantly more than that in Moscow (4-5k), but the cost of living there is also quite high compared to any other city in Russia and is more or less on par with good european cities and some capitals. 3-3.5k USD is what you can easily get on a senior position in St Petersburg (2nd russian megapolis), while a middle-level position would be like 2-2.5k.

spent all my money when i was young. When i was in my mid 30s I realized with all the money I made working I had nothing to show for it. Then I realized its not about how much you make, but how much you spend. Im 40 now, made little over $8k last month. Drive a salvage title car with 160k miles, pay $355 to rent out a room. My total expenses for this month probably won't go over $1300. The money i save i invest. Its not even about becoming wealthy, I just felt like I had to grow up

At first I got depressed seeing that his monthly expenses are greater than my annual income in India in terms of INR. But after comparing some basic expenses in US and in India, I got some sense of satisfaction that my income is not that bad too, as compared to cost per service in both the countries. I mean we can get the same type apartment for less than the quarter price in one of India's most expensive cities (in terms of rent).

@@cenafanist yea. If they're 100 seats. Airlines routinely sell 102 tikets. Chances are 2 people won't show up or will be late or whatever. Plane still flies at full capacity. If he buys 2 xtra tickets, they will still fill them with two extra people.

Its scary that theres nothing involved with investing. Unless your company is also offering you a really nice pension when you retire in 40 years you gotta build up your capital. Social security is not gonna support your lifestyle and you definitely have enough income to both invest and still have fun while your young.
