Keynote by Jomo Kwame Sundaram at the NFU Conference 24-25 November 2016 in Oslo. Organised by the Oslo Academy of Global Governance, Centre for Development and the Environment, University of Oslo and the Norwegian Association for Development Research (NFU).
Jomo Kwame Sundaram is a leading scholar of the political economy of development. He was Professor at the University of Malaya (1986-2004), Founder-Chair of International Development Economics Associates (IDEAs), UN Assistant Secretary General for Economic Development (2005-12) and Assistant Director General for Economic and Social Development, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) (2012-15). He has received several honours and awards for his work including the 2007 Wassily Leontief Prize for Advancing the Frontiers of Economic Thought.
