Saying this is the current Yes is meant to be a (big) compliment to the Band Geeks! I love them! I thank them! As to the new music, if you don't realize Jon's imput, you should revisit Jon's catalogue. It's truly a band effort, Jon and the Geeks!

@Johnl4206-I don't think there's anything that Richie Castellano CAN'T do musically! At least when it come to rock. He's one of those musicians like Neal Morse, Kerry Livgren, Trevor Rabin, etc., that doesn't seem to have any limitations on what he can do.

@@MalEvansUSA I didn't know anything about any of that. I can never remember the names of any of the other Geeks. All I DO know is that BOC had Richie's wife join them to sing on one of the songs when they did the 40th anniversary tour for Agents of Fortune in 2016. I think the song was called Lonely Teardrops.

The Band Geeks is the best to have happened to Jon Anderson since he was sacked of Yes. The guys have talent, musicality and energy in spades (well, their school is Yes, obviously). And Jon is rejuvenated. They all sound fantastic!

This is every bit as good as I’d hoped (& known) it would be! I’m a Yes fan since 1970, and Jon is just unbelievable 54 years later. He knows he is blessed to have such a great band with whom to keep performing and creating Yes music-while Richie, Andys, Chris and Rob must be over the moon with the honor of being the instruments of this resurrection!

What I love about this project is that Richie and the guys all very humble, reverent and admiring Yes fans. This is a great fusion of Jon's iconic voice and their superb musical chops; eminently inspired by all the stellar players who've shared a stage with Jon beforehand. This tune radiates so much positivity and the production is absolutely killer. Bravoooo!

Love the new song. It has the feel of the Ladder to me. Jon Anderson has his version of Yes & Steve Howe has his version of Yes which means we, the fans, are the winners. I don't expect we'll ever see a reunion so I'm happy that they are all making new music.

Steve's Yes is made up of four wannabes who fail to rise to the occasion, with a lead singer who can't come close to Jon Anderson, and with tempos that drag. Watch and listen to posted songs from their current tour and you will hear it for yourself.

From the opening note, I was amazed, thinking to myself, "They've actually recaptured the magic of The Ladder!" One of my favorite Yes albums, such an aspirational and evocative sound. So happy Jon has found it again.

I come from the same area of Brooklyn as the Castellano family. I don't know Richie personally, but I've bought gear from his dad and his grandparents over many years. I could not be prouder of these local NY/NJ guys backing Jon up! I've been a Yes fan all my life! Jon has such a spiritual way with his music! Whether with Yes, Vangelis, or his solo stuff, there is a thread of hope in most all the music he puts forth into the world. Bless him! This is a perfect coming-together of a timeless, classic artist, and a fantastic group of musicians! Keep it up, guys! The world could use this right now! Long live Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks!!

Bloody hell! The fact that Jon's voice is still great at almost 80 years of age is one thing - but that he plays music that channels The Yes energy while at the same time being incredibly modern is beyond me. Kudos do The Band Geeks, of course. I've been a Yes fan since 1973 - and I remember that when "Owner Of A Lonely Heart" came out many papers wrote, "The old guys (sic!) show the young ones how to sample!" And Jon does it again 40 years later. Superb song - SO looking forward to the album. God, this song sends shivers down my spine!

Got to spend some time with Jon many years back, while shooting a little video for their producer (Bruce Fairbairn) who'd just passed away........................what a sweet, kind, quiet human............it was a truly wonderful experience to speak with him......still kicking it all these decades later........

I have heard some of the other tracks from the upcoming album and they are even better. There's a true mix of Rabin era Yes sounds and of classic Yes sounds. I think you'll love it. It IS Yes, they just don't have rights to the name.

Thank you Jon and The Band Geeks for this music in the spirit of Yes. Hope, joy and a message of universal love in the vessel of beautifully crafted music. It reminds me of Talk and the tremendous musical power in that album. Jon, you surely deserved to have such an amazing band with you! Make it last!

Was at the tour opening show in New Brunswick NJ, going again next week and at least one of the Keswick shows outside Philly in September. Was gonna go to the Reading PA show last year but had car problems. Kicking myself for that, missed the first Gates of Delirium of that tour. They aren't doing that one or Ritual this year. At least not yet.

It's not called Yes only because of legal issues. It IS Yes.

@@yeswolf1 Legally, he has the right to change the name to "Yes featuring..." He did that with ARW and there was no legal challenge. I think a gentleman's agreement is in place, especially since there are no other Yes-related personnel in the band. They sound great, nonetheless. More Yes music is better, regardless of the name.
