I'm 53 now. Went to see Bon Jovi in Birmingham Alabama around 88, 89 I think. Lol. Somehow with nosebleed tix got down on the floor. They had a catwalk that he and Richie came right to where I was. JBJ leaned down, shook my hand and said "Dude, you have great hair". Which, it almost looked just like his. Haha. About 10 years after that, I started going bald in the center and I have to keep it somewhat short. Life can throw ya curveballs but, he does still have his. White or not, I wish I could've kept mine.

I remember when I went to your concert on the Gulf Coast it was sold out but there was a look alike outside so we jammed outside. And my mom couldn't find me so she rolled up on y'all at your exit door and y'all talked awhile. Couldn't believe she got to meet you and the band. God rest her soul. ❤

I met him at PolyGram Distribution Center in Indiana in the 90’s (later called Universal). He was very nice. I thought it was no big deal. Going up to get a picture and autograph from him. But by time I got to him, my legs were like rubber bands. He asked me what was wrong and I said I’m a little nervous and he said there is no reason to be nervous. It’s OK.I cherish that photo and autograph. I got to put my arm around him and as a 20 some year old, it was was something to remember. I’ve met a few other celebrities, but honestly, he was the biggest celebrity I’ve met.

Money for Nothin' from Dire Straits. Several songs from the Police. It really goes on. Livin' on a Prayer got plenty of radio time, for sure, but to call it the greatest of the 80s when there were much more talented bands?

@@tvc153 yes, the secret; he plays music for a living, stays happy, doesn’t have the stress of a day job, although there are definitely stressors in being a full-time musician. I have been playing 185 to 200 shows a year as a full-time professional musician/ solo looping Artist for 25 years, will be 60, and people still get me as somebody in my 40s.

Same here, but i was 19 back then. Monsters Of Rock, Donnington Park 1987 when Bon Jovi headlined. Brilliant. 70,000 in the crowd. A band called Metallica were also on the bill that day. I wonder what happened to them!
